Okay, first off im not going to be the one to say I TOLD YOU SO because thats not in my genetic make-up. It was a spectacular win, the most exciting game I ever watched live and I was very impressed with MY team. I knew they could do it. They did it. We're in great shape.

We did exactly what I thought we would do. Pound the ball, use the play action to create space, and force them to play "wolfpack ball". Our lines Off and Def deserve much credit, b/c they totally man handled BC. Some of you "good fans" forcasted a lose, but i won't comment on that. BC, FSU, Gt, Clm, that strikes one off the list. And now I know for a fact we can keep on striking.

Florida State; we can beat them. They can't run the ball at all. Stop the pass = we victor
Gt; Stop C. Johnson = we victor,lol
Clemson; well, if BC beat them + we crushed BC = we victor

This will fulfill my prophecy of being ACC champions, after many of you turned your backs in shame.

Now, that said. In my last thread I was presented with a question "what do we do when they load 8 defenders in the box against us". Its very simple, the answer. Other than the play action pass, we've discovered our own method of dealing with this



Yes, the power sweep worked wonders against BC when they loaded the 8 defenders in the box. We blocked downward, Andre made his reads at high caliber speed, then wham bam thank you maa'm he was ghost form for 55 yards. There is just no stopping him. He looked like Terrell Davis in his prime.




This is the only thing that worries me a little with FSU. Their 4-3 run defense in insane this year. Ive studied what they do and learned how they disquise their coverages so well. That free saftey in my diagram is gonna be reading those pulling tackles we have, and is going to be all over top of us.

They do alot more stunt blitzes this year, but your going to have to give me more time to draw it up. Im studying film right now, inbetween writing a philo paper due tomorrow. But since im a real die hard packer, watching film is my priority.

we dominated BC! They could not run. They managed to squeak in a couple of pass plays here and there. 2nd half, it was 3 and out for them. How was that difficult for you to visualize? Its going to be that much easier against fsu.

the trap play amato runs works every year against fsu. he knows that d too well. now that nicholsons gone andre and toney should have a parade next thursday. fsus wr-like running backs won't do much. our 2ndary will keep them in check.

if evans can convert a few passes here and there and not make any big mistakes the game is ours to lose(we have to fuckup to lose)

Florida State is going to come at us tough. We got to isolate Buster Davis by getting pads on him every play. There running game is ineffective, but we must keep an eye on the screens. We can match up with every player on defense, so im not worried at all. We keep our turnover low, we victor easily.

Evans looks a little timid, so they're gonna intimidate him even more by multiple blitzes. He must maintain composure. However, all the pressure won't be one him due to our unstopable backfield

controlled the game with methodical runs. (if they stacked 8 everytime, ofcourse we didnt run up the middle all day. We mixed it up)

actually, he was 21 for 109, which is a little more than 5 yards a carry.

Not to mention Callender had 11 for 54, also close to 5 per carry.

So like I said, they never should have quit running, but I am damn glad they did. Our run D is pathetic. It takes 3, 4, or 5 missed tackles before we can get the guy unless Tank works his magic through the line.

You shouldn't be swayed by the mathematical aspects of it. Alot of their plays were stopped in the backfield. They sprung a couple here and there, but if you watched the game you would understand me.

FSUs' run blocking is terrible. We're gonna chew that up like toothpaste. I'd say that we have arguably the best pass defense in our conf. Our answer, like I mentioned before in previous threads lies in our Run game. No one can stop it. And I mean no one.

well we did beat the same gt team last year. i dont know if vt is for real or not but we dont even play them so they are out of it. clemson kicked our shit in last year but that doesnt mean they will beat us (bc kicked our shit in too) and bc got better between the years clemson got worse. i really only see us losing 1 or 2 games so if we lose to the right people (non division contenders) we will win a tie break. hopefully bc can go beat everybody and coastal division can take the rest of the interdivision games.

They didn't spring a couple here and there, they had sustained and consistant running, that they for some reason chose not to continue, probably faith in Ryan which is understandable. Here are a few more stats for you though:

In the first half, only 3 running plays went for no gain, none for a loss.
In the second half, only 1 running play went for no gain, and again, none for a loss.
