Depends on what you like.
Tales of Symphonia is a fantastic RPG. Its a random encounter sort of game but the fighting is real time. You have 4 party members out at a time, each of which can be controlled by a different controller or the computer. It makes for a great 1-4 player RPG.
Viewtiful Joe is fantastic. Its a cell shaded side scroller. It can be really hard depending on the difficulty. The second one has pretty much the same plot as the first, but the fighting and unlockables are so awesome. I haven't played the 3rd yet. Speed up time, slow down time, zoom in for special moves, get points based on combos. I can't explain how wonderful this game was to play. 1/25/2007 4:16:40 PM |

Ikaruga should also be on this list.
Not a GC game seedless. PS2, but you knew, so I'm just saying.

one must always own at least 1 mario party game. random mario sports titles are also acceptable depending on your tastes (i have tennis, but not golf/baseball/soccer) 1/25/2007 6:06:32 PM |

I really enjoy Mario Soccer. Tennis for the N64 was awesome, but I never tried it on the GC.
The reason that I like Nintendo's line of sports games is because they are simple and fun. Normal sports games bore me. 1/25/2007 6:13:36 PM |

me too and even the mario ones get old, but they are generally better for multiplayer fun.
killer 7 was rather enjoyable and of course the donkey konga series cant go without mention. 1/25/2007 6:17:27 PM |

Wind Waker is good, but the sailing really does get tedious.
Twilight Princess is also a good choice.
Both Prime games.
I also like Luigi's Mansion.
Super Mario Sunshine is also good, but a lot of people have complained that it tried to be Mario 64 but came up short. Having never played Mario 64, I cannot comment on the validity of this. 1/26/2007 1:12:12 PM |

^^It's a sequel to Mario 64, so saying that it tries to be Mario 64 doesn't mean much. The game, while a lot of fun at times, just falls drastically short of expectations. Way too many of the shines revolve around collecting coins (and that's not even considering the blue coins). Sometimes the camera goes all screwy too. At its best, the game is an absolute blast, I just wouldn't suggest trying to collect every single shine in the game as some of them are maddenlingly tedious. 1/26/2007 4:09:45 PM |

Its hard to find but metal gear solid: The twin snakes is awesome IMO... It is essentially the first metal gear solid with enhanced graphics and a few new cut scenes.... I am one of those people who never had the cube but now have a wii so I can play the gamecube games 1/26/2007 7:42:53 PM |

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes most definitely. It is the only place to find the original game MGS refreshed with better graphics and the newer control system. I wish they would release the original MGS revised on PS2 or something so I could play it again too.....

it is funny, i played re4 for about 30minutes and just sucked balls at it. the controls seemed a little hard to get used to and it also seemed quite hard. once you get past that little intro though it is much nicer and was an entirely different game (which just happened to be one of the most entertaining ever). 1/27/2007 9:34:00 AM |

Sorry, I'm gonna have to post for this game again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKmU2ACUYHs
This is, without a doubt, my favorite GC game (the first and the second). The second has the same sort of plot as the first (think Ghostbuster and Ghostbusters 2), but the gameplay is much improved, as are the cut scenes. Its a superhero game and the main character is goofy, flamboyant, and extremely stylish. I highly recommend these games. 1/27/2007 3:43:34 PM |
