58hours lists Lucky as Radiohead's MOST PLAYED song live, ever

so I don't see how you're thinking you "won't get" it

[Edited on February 28, 2008 at 12:29 PM. Reason : I'd personally love Black Star, but it's only been played ~50 times]

Haha. I got on W.A.S.T.E. about 30 minutes after tickets went on sale and it was too late by then.

And..

I was saying with my luck, I won't get it. I have the rotten luck of picking out like one or two songs I really want to hear at a concert and getting neither of them, lol

the truly important concept is that W.A.S.T.E. comes from The Crying of Lot 49

the secondary one is that Radiohead is awesome for using W.A.S.T.E. as the title of their merchandise and ticketing page

Let Down is my favorite song as well, and though I've seen Radiohead quite a few times, they have never played it

If I remember right from interviews, the band has said it's a hard song to do live and because of how old it is they kinda started leaving it off of setlists.

"Let Down" is easily my personal fave radiohead song too. I think syncing the guitars to sound like how it sounds on the original track is really tough (more of a timing thing).

^ Yeah, the intro part (which plays on top of the rythm part) is in a totally different time signature and it's supposed to be really, really difficult to get right live.

^^ saw it summer 2006 at Tower Theatre in Philly. totally was blown away that they'd played it. but they did play it a few times on that summer's tour. could be up for this tour as well.

^ also, for this show look at the seating chart with the pit.

With the pit, the rows begin with J or something, so rows K and M are spectacular.

Yeah, definitely not surprising. It seemed as though Liars and Autechre were names that kept re-appearing, both of which are favorites of Thom.

Realistically, I was holding out hope for someone I had not seen before like Battles.

In my dreams, I was hoping they would bring their old mates Elbow over from the U.K. or GRIZZLY BEAR! Grizzly Bear has an album coming up, and I haven't seen a full tour released yet, only sporadic dates. That would've been a great pairing.

I saw the Liars open for Interpol last year, they were great.

but yeah I do wish it was someone like Battles

^ Did they arrive via the U.S.P.S or did they send them Fed Ex/UPS.

I know in years past it has been the latter, but I seemed to recall hearing it was going to be via U.S.P.S. this year.
