having to sign stacks of paperwork that's of no consequence merely to acknowledge that it passed before my eyes--it wouldn't be so bad it it wasn't the same shit every week

I also hate people that want to talk about shit early in the morning while I'm trying to eat my oatmeal and have my coffee. Or the people that feel the need to tell you about everything they're doing as they do it, like I give a shit.

I would just be happy if people didn't break shit in the lab, and then not tell anyone

today when I came into the lab to test some shit, I was pleasantly surprised to find out the sound level meter needed to be calibrated again

Yeah make sure its LOUD, but it would be better if it were a drug test.

the people who jam the copier then don't unjam it.

the same people use all the paper in the copier and don't put more in.

people who consistently leave papers on my desk and never retrieve them.

the annoying lady is listening to some sort of horrible crap way too loud on her headphones . . and is shouting when she's trying to talk to people.

I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told Bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven.

I leave my phone on speakerphone for all calls and voicemail, but that is so that I can file paperwork and work on the computer simultaneously. I also keep my door closed at all times so that other people don't hear me.

You mean a trackball?

Either it's somehow imperative to your job, your company sucks, or you haven't bothered to ask for a regular mouse.

I work as a student for NCSU and typically get what I ask for (pertaining to work at least ) in short order.

My job is awesome. The people I work with are awesome. The benefits are awesome. The pay is awesome. They throw a party for someone at least once a week. There is a Flavia machine with is pretty good. Also free sodas of every kind. T

the only complaint I have is people who come in and think they're our clients, and when we tell them they are not, they steal my candy bowl and run out.

OH MAN do I have one for this list

So I work in a suite with a lot of other companies in it-- this DUDE keeps using the common hallway as his office and walks up and down it on his cell phone having VERY loud conversations about his technical babble. OMGZ we all get up and close our doors when he starts it up

People who call in, don't know who they need to talk to, and getting details to find out why they're calling is harder than pulling teeth.

me: blahblah greeting
her: hey! I need some help!
me: Okay? How so?
her: well...who do I talk to?
me: Depends on why you're calling
her: well...uhm...on march 29th...
me: miss, is this a catering issue, or billing, or what?
her: well, I don't know how you classify things?
me: okay, then tell me what you're calling about
her: on march 29th - do you have records that far back? Do you have access to them?
me: I don't, but whoever I end up transferring you to will
her: well, who are you going to transfer me to?
me: Still working on that one. Details?

My boss walked by and I just handed it off to her

dads who come in, ask about college summer courses for a high school junior, and says 'I didn't ask about graduate level math classes. let's be reasonable! I'm nicely asking you a question. He has exhausted all the math courses', and gets snippy when I tell him that, in all likelihood, there ARE more math classes at the college level that his son could take, but just to be sure, he'd better talk to the math department.

when coworkers say they have "appointments" and say that they need to have an early break, but when you go to lunch on hillsborough street they are conviently at that restaurant definitely NOT in a meeting but instead having a fine and dandy casual lunch with another assistant from another floor in your building. grrr.

or

when 2 coworkers I call Frick and Frack go to these sponsered diet clubs and take 2 hour lunches and don't ever seem to be losing weight.

1. When people peddle the crap their kids are selling for a fund raiser at school at the office.
2. People who have weird eating schedules. (why do people want to eat lunch at 3?... I'm hungry at 12-1)
3. When the AC breaks and we don't get the day off in the middle of summer
4. uh... yeah. we're gonna need you to go ahead and come in on saturday

why would someone think that they should push their cart into a kiosk? what you think are they blind, just retarded, or so lazy that they have to lean on the cart or fall to the ground. the only reason why these people haven't driven me nuts is because it's fucking funny watching them try to push the cart out

I really hate the people who assume their problem is the biggest problem in the world and I must stop doing everything that I am doing to help your sorry ass out.

sorr, but someone in jail takes higher precedent than your fucking son getting a speeding ticket.

plus, secretaries who do absolutely nothing and act like if they weren't there the entire office would fall apart.

I love it when people claim they need to go and get gas. What the fuck? Your car will have the same amount of gas in it now as it will have at 5pm today

leaving [successive] voicemail messages that only say "hi, this is ..., please call me as soon as possible."

it might be helpful if u tell me why you're calling...just a thought.
