this movie is terrible.

liking superbad, 40-yr-old virgin, and knocked up have nothing to do with liking this movie -

despite the same creative minds being involved, nothing outside a couple throwaway gags, silly lines, and ridiculous cameos helps this movie approach anything less that trite parody. Pineapple Express looks like the likely successor to those comedies listed above - this is just more "Blades of Glory" shite.

Is it better than Date Movie, etc? Sure... there are legitimately funny actors and much better production value. But is it a labor to watch? Unfortunately, yes.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was pretty funny. Especially the part with the Bealtes.

so does this new "apatow" film do the same as every single one of the other ones? Start out as a comedy then completely turn into some tired-plot chick flick/romantic bs comedy?

no, there isn't a shred of seriousness to be found in the entire movie.

Yea it gets serious towards the end.

I thought it was pretty funny but I recommend seeing it in a group.

Watched this last night on Netflix and thought it was hilarious. Weird to see the mixed reception here, I've been hearing this movie is amazing for years
