If they want to see racism, they will find racism. Same thing with sexism, or any other form of discrimination. There have been studies on this shit. Perceived levels of discrimination have more to do with your psychological well-being than any objective measurement of discrimination.

I like how no one gets pissed when we hang a Tarheel/ram/goat in a rope noose at a football game. Moreover, on ESPN this past Saturday, they showed a Michigan fan holding a Buckeye in a rope noose at the game in the stadium. If a noose is a noose, how come these nooses didn't stir as much trouble up as a toilet paper noose without anything hanging in it nor it hanging from anything else in a bathroom limited only to employees with access?

I think it's because of the nooses' intended use. It isn't the blacks who made "the noose" a symbol of hatred towards them, it was some whites. Hanging a noose was meant to send a message.
