Babe: Pig in the City

Almost no one has seen this movie, and it's incredible. Siskel & Ebert's #1 of 1998.

i always bring this up.

we played this for an employee's birthday party at a theatre i worked at in high school in 1999. (the GM worked it out as kid's movie that week so that we'd have the print)

Criticker.com has underrated and overrated tags now (depending on the discrepancy between user and critic reviews), and I love that.

It's kind of a spoiler, but I've used a description of the city in Pig in the City to get people to watch it before, so here's a screenshot:

The House of Yes

if I was to tell you that there is a good movie with both Tori Spelling and Freddie Prinze Jr. and that they do an excellent job acting

you would call me crazy

...

of course, it stars Parker Posey, and that's always ultra-cool

...

you want to watch a kick ass film?

watch this

You have HORRIBLE taste in movies. Jesus Christ. I mean, you have Children of Men[i], one of the best films of 2006, and from a production standpoint one of the finest examples of the craft of filmmaking ever brought to screen. You have this contrasted with [i]The Illusionist, an abomination of a film that was so bad it gave me cancer of the aids of the leukemia, not to mention the fact that it came out almost concurrently with The Prestige, a film with similar subject matter that entirely blew it out of the water.

Children of Men was an awesome movie.

There was some crazy movie I saw a few years ago about these kids in high school who go around killing each other, and at the end they try to blow up the school. It was pretty fucked up but it was a really good movie, but I've never heard of anybody talk about it and I never knew the name, so I'd say that counts as underrated. It looked like it came out in the 80s.

Hilarious blaxploitation film, yes it is real. It's like a super fucked up Blazing Saddles.

^ I agree. The Illusionist was pretty much instantly forgettable and the storyline was whack. I actually bought CoM (and I hardly EVER buy movies). CoM had some of the best steady-cam shots I had seen recently in a film (notably the car scene with the motorcycle and when they are running through the city/prison)

And lastly,

It's not the fucking Godfather, but it was really entertaining.
