Due to popular demand in the feedback forum ( /message_section.aspx?section=10 ) and my curiosity with the Greasemonkey plugin for Firefox, I wrote two little scripts that some of you might be interested in.
The first, called InsertAtCursor, not surprisingly puts smileys, tags (bold, italic, quote, etc.) in the textarea where your cursor is. All of the normal functionality remains the same with the exception that the "link" and "image" buttons no longer prompt you, they just put the tags that normally result in those functions where your cursor is.
The second, called uniLink, automatically converts internal links so that they will work across whatever tww url you are using (brentroad or thewolfweb, with the http or without, with the www or without). With this one, you might run into some quirks because I didn't do a lot of testing. Whatever tww does on the server side still happens. uniLink converts these links when you click "Post", not as you type.
