it's a shitty situation, but death is one of those things- there is nothing you can do other than offer your support and help out whenever possible (ie offer to do simple things like her grocery shopping, laundry, etc...)

Yeah just don't let her fall into a pit of sorrow... its a lot more difficult to get someone out of that then it is to keep them from falling into it.

Support may not seem like a lot, but honestly- it really is if you mean it and can consistently provide it.

One of my closest friends lost his mother during the time that I have known him - it was a long, slow, and horrific thing really.

Years later he's come back and told me more than once what it meant to him that I stuck around and would do whatever I could for him (which wasn't much) during that time.

first, i have been dating her for almost 2 months regardless of the whole begonias thing, second, who gives a flying fuck that she is 19 and im about to turn 24, so i am 4 years older than her.

none of that changes the fact that i feel badly. I think any normal person would. Her mom passed away this afternoon so for all you haters go annoy someone else

Plus, I knew her mom for over a year before i even met her daughter, so she's more than just my g/f's mother to me
