It only goes to level 51. I just beat it on easy. Don't waste your money on mines or the finance center or whatever it is. Focus on upgrading everything you can. Upgrades are where it's at.

Finance center is cheap and you should buy it imediately. Helps with income... you should be able to get your 100 back in just a few turns. After that, it's all $profit$ The first several turns, you don't need anything extravigant anyways. Just a couple turrets upgraded 1 level is fine for a while. Then I saved up for the missle battery and upgraded them once. Build more missle batteries as necessary just so you don't lose lives. You need 2200 to build a gun research station, energy research station, and do all the upgrades to get to level 3 in each of the research stations (keep in mind, you have the missle one already ) Then after that, all you need is 1500 for that big ass laser, which is really the only way to beat the game. I recommend building a second lazer tower before going for the tower upgrade, 1) because the intial investment to upgrade is high (1650 to upgrade all the tech centers from lvl 3 to lvl 4), 2) more ground coverage. to upgrade a tower will cost you 1650 + 1300 for the tower upgrade, Unless you have 2900 to dump into the tower (which you more than likely will not) just build a second tower to help kill those bastard. the upgrade will net you a tower more than twice as power for less money than another new one, so after the 2nd tower, try to focus on saving money to upgrade the existing towers. if the enemy is getting close, just build a 3rd tower. If you manage your money right, you should be able to have 4 lvl 1 laser towers and extra cash to spare. I never used mines, however they may be necessary in desperate situations, so don't forget to use them. as the game progresses, it isn't a bad idea to build the mine factory just so you can deploy mines without waiting in case an enemy unit sneaks past your defenses... Mines are also good for stunning bosses, thus giving your turrets more time to kill him

You may have to sell a few of your smaller gun turrets (which if you upgraded once, will give you $40 back per). a lvl 1 missle turret will give you $140 back per. Don't sell your whole arsenal just to get the laser tower, but also try to get it ASAP.

I have beaten the easy and medium one with this strat.

The finance center doesn't give you any extra money until you spend the 1600 to upgrade it. And even then you only get 3% more money, so it's not even really worth wasting it.

No you get 3% for each level. Its starts off at level 1. I never really saw the point of upgrading it though. I tried to keep a "high" balance (between 1000-2000) to help earn the extra interest until I could afford to get the laser towers while making sure none of the enemies got by. By the time I had money to upgrade the finance center (which I did for the hell of it), I already "won" the game (I had 4 lvl 1 laser towers during wave 49)

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always saw a bonus influx of cash added to my stockpile after the last guy was be destroyed. Either way, I've won 2 games on two different maps. If it doesn't do anything, then it just show's I've got mad skills and I can start the game with $100 less and still beat it

I've gotten to lvl 50 with just guns... I shoulda sold most of em for the laser towers and I probably would have won

spend the 100 for the finance building unless you are constantly broke because you dont know how to manage your money.. my problem is I don't build fast enough when I should :/

grenades and rockets are the best, then the laser cannon (but on hard, even an upgraded laser cannon is not enough, you maybe need 2 or a BUNCH (meaning maybe 5) fully upgraded rocket towers).

Also, if you didn't notice, the grenade things are by far the most cost effective to upgrade first (more hits/$$).
