That is my best case scenario.

I'm thinking more along .500, and 6-10 in conference. There is no reason to think this year will be better then last at this point.

We should just play all our games in Reynolds since that is about how many fans we are going to average this year. What is capacity, 12,000? Yeah that's about right.

The OOC schedule just has to be hard enough for us to have some challenges going into ACC play, and get some wins under our belt. Being in the ACC our OOC schedule doesn't mean shit, do good in the conference and we are fine, there is no need to go out and schedule an extremely challenging OOC schedule.

^^^ It used to be 12,400 up until 2004. After that they did the renovations to the place to add the full length court to make it a more multi-use complex for wrestling and volleyball to be held, and the large and long, low rising baseline stands were replaced with smaller sets of stands. The capacity now is around 8,000-9,000.

^^What are you complaining about? We have Marquette and Florida on the schedule. Arizona will also be added next year. I think we did pretty good with scheduling. All of the big schools play no more than 2, or 3 games against good teams.

UNC: Kentucky, Michigan State, Nevada, and Maui.

Duke: Purdue, Michigan, Georgetown, St. John's.

WF: Anaheim Classic (not a great field), Indiana, BYU

we're expected to suck, so we'll probably end up having a pretty good season.

but i think we'll win about 5 games in the conference (which means we'll probably win about 8 or 9).

that's how it usually works around here.

Horner Leads Pack Past Guelph, 87-47

By Pack Pride Staff

Posted Aug 31, 2008

NC State concluded its two-game exhibition tour of Canada with an 87-47 victory over the University of Guelph. Leading the way for the Wolfpack was junior forward Dennis Horner, who scored 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field.

NC State concluded its two-game exhibition tour of Canada with an 87-47 victory over the University of Guelph. Leading the way for the Wolfpack was junior forward Dennis Horner, who scored a game-high 22 points.

Horner, who played both forward spots for the Wolfpack, played just 20 minutes but made the most of his time on the floor. He hit 9-of-11 shots, including 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point line. Horner also added three boards.

As a team, the Wolfpack shot 55.2% from the floor and held the University of Guelph to 27.6% shooting from the floor while forcing 22 turnovers.

Junior Brandon Costner had another big game for the Wolfpack. Costner, who had 31 points and nine rebounds in yesterday's win, totaled 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting and added a game-high 13 rebounds.

Freshman Julius Mays was the Wolfpack's other player in double figures. The 6-foot-2 guard hit all three of his shot attempts and finished with 10 points in 20 minutes of action. Mays also had five assists and just one turnover.

NC State was playing its final game of the weeken without senior center Ben McCauley. McCauley didn't make the trip due to a coach's decision.

he slammed the ball so hard it almost hit Lowe in the face and coach didnt like that too much but thats just hearsay ... i havent heard or read anything else about why he didnt make the trip other than that.

Yep, the last place team in the ACC does not qualify for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge b/c there are 11 teams in the Big Ten.

I think we got a better game actually by not being in the ACC/Big 10 "Challenge" (can't really call it a challenge when the other conference has never won it). A game against Marquette, a quality Big East opponent, is much better than having to play Penn State, Michigan, Iowa, Northwestern, or Minnesota which is who we'd likely end up playing knowing our luck.

If Costner is supposedly in shape as Lowe is saying and can play up to his ability, I think we could be a .500 team. I believe that we'll be worse, but we aren't going to be as bad as the football team.

God it sucks to be an NC State fan
