10/19/2008 9:34:36 PM
i had to let dogs out at 3:30 am but was far too tired/lazy to actually put clothes on, so i went out there in flip flops and gym shorts. it was chilly but this is all part of my master plan to be cold when i come back in the house so i can sleep like a baby.
10/19/2008 9:37:25 PM
^haha, that sounds like a really good idea. I bet it makes those covers feel THAT much better
10/19/2008 9:47:46 PM
It's time to start making apple cider.
10/19/2008 9:49:02 PM
Very true indeed. I had to run out to the car yesterday to get something and went out barefoot, then bolted back inside cold as shit, dived in the covers and snuggled with the bf. It was amazing.
10/19/2008 9:49:06 PM
in about a month i'll be bustin out the heating blanket!!i had it on my bed when i moved down here in feb, it was kind of nice to get the chilly without the "holy fucking shit its motherfucking goddamn cold outside" ya know?
10/19/2008 9:51:32 PM
i use to use a heating blanket not use the heat as much but i think it made my energy bill higher
10/19/2008 9:52:30 PM
2-liter bottle bottle of hot water works really well
10/19/2008 9:53:40 PM
seriously? in illinois i kept the heat at 65 and used a heating blanket on the highest setting on my bed and a smaller one on the couchi lived in an old ass house and the energy company had doubled the rates the year i moved there. and my power bill was like $40 a month
10/19/2008 9:54:36 PM
why would you need a heating blanket in texas?
10/19/2008 9:55:09 PM
heating mattress pads are amazing.
10/19/2008 9:55:29 PM
yall sound like my grandmother
10/19/2008 9:56:05 PM
I miss cold weather I haven't worn my peacoat in over a year...
10/19/2008 9:56:35 PM
im telling you when i moved here in feb i was FREEZING at night and was shocked i had to use the heating blanket. in fact, i left it packed up and literally went through boxes in the middle of the night to dig it outmy master bedroom is over the garage so its a little hotter in the summer and a little cooler in the winter, that prob has something to do with it
10/19/2008 9:56:43 PM
yeah, heating blankets suck. my mom used to put one on my bed in the winter and i would never use it.
10/19/2008 9:57:19 PM
i prefer down comforters and cuddle buddies [Edited on October 19, 2008 at 9:57 PM. Reason : ^^]
10/19/2008 9:57:25 PM
i keep mine at 65 too but my gas bill still got up to $80 in the coldest months last winter. not that that's very expensive compared to other people (probably) but i was still hoping to keep it down. i bet my power bill this month will be $rhodeisland though because i haven't had any climate control on except for maybe 2 days in 5 weeks.
10/19/2008 9:58:12 PM
Gonna be out in it at 3AM
10/19/2008 9:59:12 PM
the guys above us are gonna hate us this winter payback for all the loud-ass parties as far as i'm concernedmy roommate and i can handle being cold a lot better than we can handle high electric bills
10/19/2008 9:59:49 PM
i do use a down comforter, goosedown pillowtop mattress & cuddle buddy year roundnot to mention the cat that sleeps on my feet and legsbut the heating blanket is so clutch!maybe i will end up not needing it this year
10/19/2008 10:02:19 PM
awyeah i dunno, i used to use a heating blanket when i was little but for some reason never slept that well..then got a down comforter in college and it was like the most awesome thing ever..but the dog pissed on mine this morning so i have to go back to a normal blanket tonight
10/19/2008 10:05:05 PM
if you end up needing to replace it i got mine at rossqueen sized, nautica brand for like $50HOLLERi bought my duvet on amazon bc i couldnt find anything i liked in the stores
10/19/2008 10:06:55 PM
yeah... it isn't cold... fucking babies
10/19/2008 10:07:49 PM
i think the best sleeping i ever did was in owen hall. you can't adjust the heat in there, so when it gets below a certain temp outside the heat comes on and doesn't go off until spring. we left our window open all winter long and my bed was right underneath it. it was awesome. in the summer i usually get too hot under my covers, yet i can't sleep unless i'm under something more than a sheet. it's weird.
10/19/2008 10:09:16 PM
ya i've had a down comforter since i was a baby. even have one for a baby's crib lol. love those things and booo you guys make me miss my cuddle buddy.
