I forgot to add that I helped elect a black guy president.

And you know what, ever since the election my luck has turned.

1. Technically in 2007, but basically got a 'new lease on life' (and my body).
2. Started the New Year with some friends in Raleigh.
3. Went to ATL with some awesome people, met some more awesome people.
4. Got an awesome internship with a famous designer, then all of a sudden didn't have it.
5. Got a different, pretty awesome internship with a teeny tiny company.
6. Went to NYC for the first time evar, for the summer.
7. Met a friend from online IRL, spent the summer with her (and we didn't kill each other).
8. Saw "Cry Baby", "The Marriage of Bette and Boo", "Gypsy", "August: Osage County", "Summer in the Park with George" and "Xanadu" on Broadway.
9. My mom, brother and aunt spent the weekend in NYC, brother seeing it for the first time. We got to see some amazing sights.
10. Ate some amazing food while there.
11. Came back to see all my wonderful Raleigh friends for the first time in at least 4-6+ months.
12. I've really really enjoyed and lived up my final semester.
13. Turned 24.
14. GRADUATING!
15. Doubt the job hunt will be complete by 12/31/2008, but I'm trying to stay positive.
16. Oh, and I'm down 100+ lbs.

2008 is probably the worst year i can remember to date.

1. Saw bruce springsteen in concert which was definitely a high point.
2. Had a great roadtrip to nashville with a couple really close friends.
3. Parents built a lake house and i fell in love with wakeboarding.
4. Another good year of Panthers season tickets with my dad.

Those were some of the good points. Now the bad

1. Was probably the worst year i've had in female department in ages.
2. Got arrested, spent a ton of money on legal representation, and still didn't get out of it. That really put a damper on my summer, really turned a lot of friendships on end and stressed me out to no end. But the harsh part is over with, i'll deal with the rest in 09.

I've met someone new, i'm looking to buy my first house, and i'm helping my dad find us a new boat for the summer. I'm cautiously optimistic about 2009.

- 1/08 - Started the largest project i have ever managed
- 1/08 - got an 11% raise
- 3/27/08 - turned 26
- 5/9/08 - son was born
- 7/08 - spent a week at Harker's Island with my grandparents
- 7/08 - put house on the market
- 11/08 - moved from a cubicle to an office

If someone was to make an offer on my house before the end of the year, that would be the highlight of 2008, but I am not holding my breath considering no one has looked at it since September.

Very interesting thread. I've actually read everyone's entries too. Here's mine:

1. Started a GREAT job at PR agency in Raleigh.
2. Moved into a new apartment.
3. Almost sliced off the fingertip of my left middle finger, but didn't.
4. Got back together with my girlfriend, and things have been awesome since.
5. My little brother graduated high school.
6. Spent a week in Iowa.
7. Spent a week in Kansas.
8. Great summer vacation at the beach with my family.
9. Went to NY with girlfriend. AWESOME time just walking around the city, checking things out.
10. Went to the seventh-to-last game at Yankee Stadium.
11. Got a raise!
12. Watched girlfriend complete her first marathon.
13. Began training for my first half-marathon.
14. Looking for a place so girlfriend and I can move in together.
15. Won a new iPod nano on my office Christmas party.
16. Brother started school at George Washington, and I saw him at the White House gate on CNN during the Election Night celebration shots.

Been a pretty good year. The end of last year sucked, and the very beginning of this year was mixed, but it's gotten progressively better. I hope that continues!

my year has been pretty bananas

1.) 32 flights, with only 1 lost suitcase that was returned within a few days
2.) total of 132 days away from home on business and personal travel
3.) bought a condo (i guess that's what it'd be called) in March, a section of a restored victorian that's on the national historic registry.
4.) 3 weeks for business trips in hong kong and south china
5.) 3+ weeks on business travel (and partying my face off) across south korea, seoul to ulsan and busan
6.) a few beach trips
7.) went to portland and constructed a pretty badass brewery touring weekend
8.) snowboard trip to canada (after missing out the entire 2006/2007 season, this was nice to get back)
9.) spent a total of ~7 weeks in january and april going all over south east texas for work.
10.) 2 weeks in fayetteville for work, which was nice for jaunts to the parent's beah house and meeting up with people from raleigh
11.) racked up ass-tons of frequent flyer / hotel rewards/ rental car rewards points
12.) organized a few events for the food bank of delaware
13.) my sister got married
14.) saw a great friend get married
15.) kicked three of my five addictions, likely to be the most physically and emotionally destructive ones of the lot.
16.) got amazing reviews for work
17.) bonuses and raises
18.) finished off a project that i've been working on non-stop since i started working full time
18.) developed a badass friendship
19.) didn't have a really bad breakup (hooray!)
20.) defended my patents
21.) in the finals in my SRS money fantasy football league
22.) didnt get any fatter

hmmm let me think of a few good things...the rest is way too depressing

1. Jumped head first into working on political campaigns in January (never done a thing like that before and met a lot of neat poeple)
2. Found out who my friends were
3. Reconnected with a couple old friends from freshman year
4. Got more responsibility/authority at the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic this year
5. Planned about 5 events that I can put on my resume

I can't think of anything else. 2009 will be a good year, I can feel it.

-the beginning of 2008 was not very eventful, I spent time working out, going out with friends and looking for a new house but was still very content
-spent a lot of time talking to this girl studying abroad in Europe who i had been hanging out with at the end of 2007
-bought and moved into new house, that nite I . . .
-left on a cruise to san juan and st thomas, it was the best time i've ever had in my life
-The day after getting back i flew to San Jose, California to train others on how to do my job. There I decided I would fly to . . .
-England to spend a week with the girl studying abroad. Idid get to see parts of England and Barcelona but it didn't go so well with the girl. I got a little too adventurous here.
-Came back to America depressed and decided to put buy a 120" projection screen, projector, and PS3 to play nonstop on.
-My best friend came back into town for a few months so I spent as much time with him as possible.
-Went on a road trip to Clemson spontaneously for the game with him. We drank a lot of beer at Flying Saucer.
-Went to all but 2 of the home football games with my parents and my best friend.
-Badly pulled a muscle in my arm and stopped working out - continued to play PS3 and rediscover my love for videogames.
-Realized going out to the bars was boring.
-Started dating my roomate's gf's roomate and we get along pretty well. This is the first girl I've dated who I share at least some interests with.
-Finally started learning how to play guitar. I'm becoming obsessed.
-Went to a few concerts - Tom Petty was the most fun
