My DE class has lectures online and when I click on them it goes straight into quicktime where the playback quality sucks and I can't rewind without watching the whole video over again.

Is there a way to download the video onto my computer?

I never had a DE class with online lectures, but I did take a few classes on campus that were also offered DE and there was an option to either stream or download (realplayer format).

You could try http://www.downloadhelper.net/ (it is a firefox add-on)

I dunno if that would work for what you are trying to do though.

Umm.....did you try right clicking the link and picking 'Save Target As'?

If not download helper can do it, and you can view practically anything with VLC player

I've downloaded both VLP and download helper... and can't seem to get them to work. Trying to download QuickTime movies off of Vista. Help please?
