I'll be at PDHSC on Saturday at 11 and Sunday at noon.
I'll be with new shooters so I won't be able talk too much, but you can come try out the .357.

You can look for my VW in the parking lot, and I'll be wearing a black cap w/ brown brim.

I have not found any sig at walmarts. That said, pdhsc or the like MAY have some, lawmens should as well. Or you can hit up stanw86 and get him to pick you up some friday if he does another ammo trip down to Ed's. I have plenty of 9mm, and enough 40/22 for now. I even loaded up my Calico mags just now. each '100 round' mag takes 102 rounds of 9mm to top off.

lawmens has it, but it is only the hollow point ammunition. i think it was like $32/50rd of .357 sig. that is just a guess though. didnt look at it too closely.

The carry walmart and glenwood were out of .357sig and 9mm still when I went.

I will be at DPHSC at 11 on Saturday, and will be on a lane for an hour (whenever I get on one). Could be fun to get a few of us out there, though it will be busy.

I got to play with my 33 round 9mm mags today.

I talked to them about setting up a group trip, and they said monday and friday evenings are best. Normal charges apply, but the range would be for us only. There is a 10 person min.

Funny enough, I have about 200 rounds of .357sig hollow point, but only 100 rounds of FMJ

I will try and be there, may have to buy a box of that brown bear 9mm at $120+ tax for 500 rounds that PDHSC had by the register, if there is any left.

I just called to a few local walmarts to try and get info on 'in stock ammo', without making the rounds to go to all of the physically.

I have plenty for cheap. and none of that bs brown bear garbage.

The one thing I can't find is .380 automatic fmj rounds. I have checked everywhere and have not been able to find it. If anyone finds it can they pick it up for me and i'll toss you some extra cash? I am NOT looking for .38 special or .38 super+auto.

Why are yall so set on Wallmart for ammo, all calibers are still widely available for cheaper online.

Brown Bear is also 175.00 for 1000rds so that PDHSC price is not that good.

Brown Bear although not the best stuff is actually great practice ammo and you cant beat the price.
I have fired 10's of thousands of BrownBear, Wolf, etc... without a problem. I dont care what anyone says about the lacquer coating, it has never giving me a problem.

On a side note, Young Guns in Apex has S&B 1000 rd cases of 9mm for 189.00

I tried to buy ammo online before driving all that distance. A few of the sites I looked at said they had certain handgun ammunition but when I called to place orders they said they were on a 6-8 week backorder. Others were just marking their little inventory to ridiculous prices. Or you can run crap nickel and steel cased ammo through your nice gun.

I have an old makarov that I am forced to use brown bear in. If you don't clean the gun immediately after you get back it starts a form of corrosion in the bore and on the slide, similar to armor piercing rounds in a 8mm Mauser. Sometimes I want to not worry about cleaning target pistols until I have some free time.

Just got to know the right places that update their websites by the minute.

Ammunitiontogo.com is one of them, if its on their site they have it in stock.
I have orderd over 25,000 rds through them over the years

Please show me an instance where steel case ammo has hurt a gun. Its cheap and effecetive, and millions of rds are used by the millitary each year. Wolf ammo is even endorsed by Bushmaster.

Its a myth, save that pretty shit for reloaders and carry ammo

Let me go ahead and bring some light to this argument:

1. Bushmaster has only endorsed wolf ammunition .223 since they have gotten rid of the lacquer coating that you speak so highly of. They still recommend brass over your beloved 'Wolf', but say that wolf will run through their guns. I have fired 1000's of rounds through various automatic rifles (look at pics). Ex: You can see a vast difference in running wolf .223 vs. lake city .223. Overall, many more jams with steel than with brass. Every gun is different, but this was fairly uniform.

2. Steel is a harder metal than brass. Over time this will cause wear at a faster rate than running brass through your gun, which you spent so much on (some of these guns we shoot are worth $50k and up). They have recently started manufacturing aluminum cased ammunition (I havent seen any for cheaper than brass, but supposedly it can be made cheaper or for the same price.)

3. The military would not be caught dead with this shit you speak of. They use Lake City Brass and other similar manufacturers. I am sure in a last case situation, where they were unable to maintain a steady stream of brass, they could be forced to use steel cased ammunition. High quality brass has a massive edge on steel cased ammunition in the accuracy department at longer distances.

4. Steel (USSR) vs. Brass (USA and Korea) [I know this isn't a big deal...just wanted to put a #4 on this list]

I'm not trying to argue with you, as it is a personal preference of which ammunition you want to run through your firearm. As the owner of quite a few expensive pieces, I have chosen to stick with brass. I save all brass and get it reloaded at a friends house. It is one of those things where a person needs to balance price vs. quality and accuracy.

It's completely a personal decision on which ammo to run.

No doubt that you can see a vast difference and ill admit that lake city is my favorite.
I have just never had a problem with any of the cheap stuff at all, in any caliber.

I also shoot Glocks exclusively, so no matter what I run through them they go bang every time

The most expensive gun I own is a Glock race gun, and the cheapest gun I own is a 1st gen G17 with over 200k through it. I have never been into the fancy guns so I guess I cant comment on them handling the cheaper ammo

glock 17 and 22's are amazing guns, one reason being they have looser tolerances than other handguns (one main reason that AK-47's are much much more reliable than other service rifles).

come with us sometime, takes 3 hrs to get there, and we can open your eyes to a whole new world of glock 18's....now those are fcking bad ass with beta clips.

ah yes, the Glock 17, with the after market full auto conversion kit on the slide. As well as a home brew fore grip installed on the dust cover, and no stock fitted. The guy shooting kept a tight grip and pushed forward on the foregrip, and did not use the grip to control the recoil, recoil broke off the foregrip. Result was him pushing his hand out in front of a bullet. Video IS mislabeled, however description has lots of details on what happened.

LOL....Ed's Gun Shop is BULLSHIT.

They don't have any more ammo except for a few cases of each handgun ammunition. They marked up each one of the 50 rd. boxes $2 over what they were before.

This makes lawmen's or any other place much cheaper than their ammo prices.

Price Gouging!!!

I think I told too many people about this place. They had unlimited ammo a week ago....now nothing.

Fuck buying ammo right now. I've been stockpiling over the past two years, knowing something like this was going to happen. I'm now looking for reloading supplies. I do need some more .357MAG, though.

Buy cheap, stack deep.

that isn't too bad, but still over $0.20/round

blazer/remington will come out cheaper, unless brown bear is a higher quality than either of those two

drive to kernersville j/k.

also hit wal-mart when they stock. i just went to one and they had cases in a shopping cart ready to stock.

this was before 10-10:30 mind you. you have to find out what time they stock and then show up. the people who panic buy are doing that. they either hoard it or sell it in their shops. bastards.

.357 sig is hard is FUCK to find in walmarts.

i wish i had purchased ammo before the prices went up. $6/100 rds is better than $20 for $100. WTF.
