[Edited on June 3, 2009 at 10:26 PM. Reason : FOUND IT]

it started out as a reaction to one of her vaccines....it eventually got bigger and bigger and started to eat at her muscle so they cut it out and stitched the ends together.
6/3/2009 10:27:10 PM
I also opened this to post Frankenweenie, though.
6/3/2009 10:27:45 PM
Holy crap. I hope she feels better soon!
6/3/2009 10:34:42 PM

6/3/2009 10:38:15 PM
i'm sure everything will be fine.her leg is really tight and she politely "asks" to be picked up and taken down any stairs.she was also spayed so she has a big scar on her belly too. i'm gonna keep track of her progress via pictures and bump the thread.
6/3/2009 10:43:05 PM
hope she gets better
6/3/2009 10:43:21 PM
It's starting to heal pretty well. But it's bruising pretty bad.she's fairing pretty well with the cone. i cannot wait to get it off of her though.[Edited on June 6, 2009 at 11:41 AM. Reason : ryt]

6/6/2009 11:43:41 AM
When I saw the piccies on Facebook, it made me .Feel better, Carter!!!
6/6/2009 11:45:24 AM
holy shit what did they do to that hairy lamp?
6/6/2009 11:45:25 AM
everything healed really well.unfortunately she has to stay in her cone for a little longer (i was hoping that today we could take it off-she really doesn't like it-but only the stitches came out)but soon she will be free...and when that comes i'm cutting her face hair short and washing her!! (her face stinks b/c of the moisture!)by the way: i found out it was a reaction to her distemper vaccine-she already has immunity so by giving her the vaccine it somehow agitated something and caused a nasty reaction....[Edited on June 12, 2009 at 11:58 PM. now she has a cool scar to show the other dogs on the blockshe's tuff
6/16/2009 4:06:39 PM
^^ ^actually i'm fairly sure that fur will cover up the scar! but as short as i tend to keep her hair itll probably show through
6/16/2009 4:08:49 PM
Does she still need the cone?
6/16/2009 4:09:22 PM
no ma'am we took it off on sunday shes still biting a bit on the bottom part of it, but not enough to warrant putting the cone back on....
6/16/2009 4:10:31 PM
Yay! Glad she came through alright. Can't let the pet pad pups get hurt
6/16/2009 4:11:33 PM
yeah yay!!! ;D the day i took off the cone i noticed a little irritation on her chin...after investigating i noticed she had a NASTY rash from her bottom lip all the way down her neck!!! some parts were even bleeding!im guessing the humidity and her fur and the plastic all together caused one hell of a rashi sat and bawled cried on the floor for a while-i felt horrible. but carter made sure i was ok (it was really sweet)so i shaved her chin and neck and applied this ointment to it-you cant really tell by the pictuer but she has a wolverine thing going on with her "beard"but the rash has since cleared up.and she is soooo stoked not to have to wear the cone
6/16/2009 4:15:33 PM
haha she's all sorts of broken!
6/16/2009 4:17:21 PM

[Edited on June 16, 2009 at 4:20 PM. Reason : i kind of want to write "i don't think so" on the bottom and start using it.]
6/16/2009 4:20:03 PM
Well, if the dog made it through all that, you at least know it stands a reasonable chance of survival if dnl comes around.
