Fantastic. That is probably the most vivid day of my childhood. I was at the Rangers parade and then I remember being so angry I couldn't watch the Knicks at night without being interrupted by the OJ bullshit...

Very well done, hard to imagine so much happened that day in the sports world, and all anybody will remember is the white bronco

I forgot that Ken Griffey, Jr was poised to break the home run record before the strike derailed his chances.

I had totally forgotten how suicidal he was

my most vivid memory of the trial was our teacher turning the tv on for the verdict and everybody in the classroom gasping

Some of you may be too young to fully understand the impact that day had on America's news coverage. It pretty much was the start of Court TV, it took CNN and made it into huge industry of 24/7 news. It pretty much was the seed to the so called "reality" shows. It really made you think about your sports heroes in a new way.

It also made it possible for Kim Kardashian to be famous....

Thankfully I was sick that day because I went to a school that was about 50/50 and remember there being a lot of tension after the verdict.

True story. I was 14 at the time, getting my dick sucked while this was on the TV in the background.

No joke.

never forget.

My family home's shed burned in September 1995, and the house was uninhabitable for the next couple of months after that. I didn't attend school the day the verdict was passed down. I remember three-way dialing people until it was six of us to listen to the verdict together.

my hippie english teacher in middle school cheered for some reason....

i was thinking "what are you cheering about? you didn't win anything! all this means is that $$ can now get anyone off.... why the hell would race matter?"

More like Matt Williams was poised to break the HR record. Jr may have done it too, but Williams had more bombs at the time of the strike and basically lost his chance to be famous thanks to the 94 strike. Also Gwynn lost his chance at hitting .400 and the Expos officially died when the strike began.

I was in school and the library full of black people went nuts cheering when he was announced not guilty. Not a racist thing to say, just the truth.

I was in 5th grade, my teacher was black, and another black teacher came in and told her the verdict. They cheered like a bunch of fucking teenie boppers at a jonas brothers concert. Wierd.

And this story on the 2 escobars is going to be great.

I have no idea where I was when the OJ verdict was announced, but I know the day of the chase I bailed off my skateboard and ripped all the skin off my body. I spent all afternoon lying in the living room floor crying, covered in rubbing alcohol and Ace bandages, watching the Juice.

this crap is amazing. i keep wondering where they found all this video footage from escobar's compound? and the fact they have pablo's cousin, his hitman, all the players from the team, etc doing interviews for the documentary is pretty great.

pablo looks like a chubby vinny chase.

I think it was Simmons who said this, and I totally agree, that if Adrian Grenier legally changed his name to Vincent Chase, he would get 10x the offers he does now
