On recommendation of a friend I've been watching the new series from the beginning. Holy crap I didn't know TV could be this gripping. Any other fans?

Just don't watch the series finale. Just imagine what you would want the finale to be and end it that way.

Because it is horrible and discredits the entire series.

i just finished all 4 seasons and 4 was by far the worst

an excellent series, it was very hard to stop watching

Baltar was my favorite character early on but eventually I think Tyrell and Saul took over as faves

Also keep in mind that the writers strike happened in the middle of season 4. This doesn't spoil anything but when you watch it, keep in mind that that was almost the ending.

I was always a big Sharon fan. Maybe it's just my Asian Persuasion

In retrospect I would say so. The thing I am not too sure about is how well tv shows translate over to Blu-Ray if they weren't shot in HD to begin with. I could totally be wrong though.

the miniseries looks like ass compared to other blu-rays i've viewed, just got the set and haven't made it past the miniseries yet.

season 4 was altogether bad relative to season 3 but it was still pretty good. it bears repeating though that the season 3 finale is one of my top 5 episodes of TV ever

The rip I have of the miniseries and 1st season came from the HD-DVD and not the blu-ray, but I can't say I ever noticed a difference in quality from the miniseries and the later episodes.

If you buy the BD set, it is much cheaper to import it from amazon.co.uk than to buy it stateside. It is region free so youll be set. Only differences in the UK release are the inclusion of their ratings system on the packaging, and I assume the season 1 discs will include the same title music as the other seasons (US season 1 had difference title music that the other seasons). Also note that neither set includes "The Plan".
