Maybe it was the recording, but the voices seemed a lot louder, noticeable, and in general more annoying. I'm sure it will be fine in the end product.

Interesting how they changed the fighting and changed aerial combos; now you can call an assist and break out of it. Must be that "hit the Exchange button at the exact same time" thing in the post a little above.

I certainly won't notice it that much, but I'm sure purists will have some issue with the change.

They are saying that the game will heavily draw from the controls of MvC2 and TvC. Additionally, the move set for most of the characters will reportedly be nearly the same, and I know I recognized a lot of Iron Man's punch and kick combos.

MvC2 is an amazing fighting game regardless and worth the buy.

As far as D-Pad, that depends on your style of game play. I've heard the 360 controllers are atrocious for fighting games in general, but unless you're going for tournament play who gives a fuck

Super Skrull and Trish look interesting.

Again the splash graphics look way overdone, and may make playing this game painful

However, I'm most interested in the 'more characters!' (01:39) screen in the video on that article. Is that Hulk or Sentinel in the way back on the left, assumingly Marvel's side? Or maybe those are all the new characters? Looks like they would have to leave out a ton of people.

He looks good, though. I'm going to have a hard time deciding on a team of 3 to play with all the likable characters... I mean, fuck MODOK and the Devil May Cry team, but there's so many others that are just plain cool.


...Also, I LOVED the custom opener quotes between Iron Man and Bionic Commando/Spencer. The detail they put into that stuff is great ("Avengers, assemble!" if you're using a team of Avengers, Cap calling Iron Man "Tony" when they do a sub... all that shit).

Hell, I'll hardly even care if they make the game unbalanced if it manages to be as stylistically perfect as we've seen so far (after watching more gameplay clips, I don't think they could have made a better Deadpool... same for the other marvel characters, too).

...Though, yeah, I'll be pretty annoyed if someone like Dante is all sorts of good (he just looks like that sort of easy-to-play-but-still-annoying-and-cheap-as-hell type character who will be seen way too often online, see: Sagat from the recent batch of Street Fighters), but I'll still think the game is fucking awesome and enjoyable (as opposed to SF4, which for me got boring very quickly).

I think they're putting more effort into balancing the games these days. Super Street Fighter 4 is considered the most balanced Street Fighter ever. In the last EVO (biggest tournament in the US) none of the top 8 players used Sagat IIRC. Compare that to SF3: 3rd Strike, where tournaments are dominated by Chun-Li, Yun, and Ken.
