Does anybody hear know of the best way to have a non-traceable email or phone call? I gotta break some bad news to somebody and I do not want anybody to know it is me giving it to them..no matter what.

if you can figure out where something was purchased and when there's probably a camera that caught them there.

i'd imagine most pay phones are near cameras that can put you at that pay phone at time X

if you can get an IP from that email and a date/time, you might just be able to get a video feed from that library

just about everything leaves a trail, most people don't have the resources to follow that trail though!

---how do you figure that out though? that's assuming each cell phone number is tied to a serial number, and that the companies know what store they shipped each serial number to...and the largest leap of all, that the Targets of the world keep track of what time/date they sold each serial number. And even if all that happened, you can't do very much with a picture. This method doesn't seem very traceable...

--you would imagine wrong. a friend of mine had her credit card stolen...the crooks used it at a gas station and a target...neither of which had cameras outside (where the pay phones are often located). and again, you can't do much with a picture. unless the person in the picture slaughtered some people, it's not gonna show up anywhere. and even if so, the perp could always wear clothes/headgear to disguise his appearance.

--ips aren't always that useful. for example, i know for the place where i used to work, every person in the company connected through a single outside ip...so for thousands of people across the country, they all looked like they were coming from the same ip, often hundreds/thousands of miles away from where they actually were. and again, pictures aren't that useful.

I've thought about this several times. And have come up with 2 solutions:

1) Payphone in a very populate area. There will most certainly be cameras around almost every pay phone. So either try and locate them and avoid all face contact with them. Or wear a dark hoodie and sunglasses, and try to limit your face contact or any recognizable feature as much as possible.

2) Do the same thing with an email at a place that has public use of computers (like a library or coffee shop). Wear dark clothing/hoodie/sunglasses and register a random hotmail account and send the email. Just make sure not to check that email account anywhere else that can be traced back to you.

I'm sure there are other methods...but I'm not tech-savy, so that's all I got. I'm under the paranoid impression that everything can be traced...so I would just try and not get picked up by a camera and use a pay-phone or public computer.

that's a pretty good plan...or buy a computer with cash somewhere, and use hotspots away from cameras.

I can say that in my time working at Target most small electronics including the pay as you go phones had to have their serial numbers scanned to complete the purchase. I'm sure that shit gets logged somewhere.

The pictures can be hard to get much of, but if you really wanna not be traced, sunglasses, dark clothes, hats, hoodies will all mask your appearance, but also make you a red flag to those around you. You also might not want to park anywhere that has cameras in their parking lot so they can't link a car to you.
