^ assuming the engine is fully at operating temperature, you would expect that under heavy engine loads than anything else.

Yeah. Pretty bad in the lexus. Went from 25.4 to 21.1 Did some conservative driving (like a granny) and it went back up to 25.5, but still, this shit is unacceptable...

Gotta pay to play, son

The mx3 droped 2mpg (30mpg to 28) on the last tank.

"Your mileage is going down partially because it's taking the engine longer to warm up. The engine will run a richer mixture (open loop fueling, ignoring the oxygen sensor) until the coolant temperature reaches some preset temperature, usually ~50C. More fuel is also injected when you crank over the engine (similar to a choke)."

That's quite true, however I'm also not using the air conditioning anymore or driving around with the top down. Both of those things hurt gas mileage significantly. Furthermore, I keep my car garaged at night so it doesn't get as cold as most. As a resultI have a hard time giving credit for much of the MPG hit to the richer fuel mixture at warm up.

NRR, thanks for that link. Unfortunately none of those stations are close enough to do me any good.

found out today that the gas station beside Tidewater Transit on hwy 70 as you're going into kinston has e-free mid-grade

might be handy for folks headed to the coast with boats

recently, i've gotten e-free at EZ Bait and Tackle in Goldsboro, some phillips 66/mechanic shop in Morehead City (no regular, 89 and 93 only), Northwest Creek Marina in Fairfield Harbor (fuel dock, expensive, but the convenience is worth it imo if you're on the boat near New Bern), and the Red Star in front of the Garner Walmart. it's all i'll run in my mower, weedeater, chainsaw, and boat. i guess i need to do the test tube thing and see if they're really e-free.

I believe this is expected to pass. Seems like enough folks are tired of being fucked by the corn lobby.
