In august my premium subscription runs out - I won an egghunt in 2006, and have had premium ever since. I admit, I got used to chatterbox and embedding, maybe even took it for granted a few times. Also, as a premium user, I never see any ads. If I were to lose the chatterbox to* advertisements that everyone* complains about, I don't think I'd keep coming back...I know, I know, ad block, but that takes money out of qntmfred's pockets in a way, on top of hating failfox in the first place. I also know there will be many trolls saying GTFO no one cares, or that I'll be back, etc. but I am faced with either rebuying my xbox live account, or rebuying tww premium...I have logged hundreds of hours on my xbox,while only accruing a few hundred posts here, so I already am in favor of just renewing my xblive, but I wanted to hear from everyone as to whether I am wanted here, or if some of you enjoy my posts, hate my posts, whatever you have to say about me, say it now...until I figure all this out, I won't be making any more threads (wait till I log off to have the party, k?).

i like some of the posters here, but for the most part this place has become a palace for losers yearning to emasculate each other...i have a hard time hanging around because there aren't as many people here that are worth knowing as there used to be...just a bunch of angry nerds calling each other names via their blackberry while pooping at work for the 50,000th time in a row...If the regulars weren't so brutally creepy when new people arrived, maybe they'd stick around and we'd meet some new people to add daily content to the site, instead of one good idea spawning a sea of parody threads with one word changed. IT'S BEEN DONE. the lounge, garage, tech talk, and classifieds need to lighten up a bit, you guys are brutal when someone makes an error, or wrongly quotes something, or misspells a word, or their grammar is off, what are we, 12? Oh, and the best/worst comeback of all time probably originated here, it goes something like this; if someone disagrees with something, that immediately means the source is a [insert any number of insulting things here] and they should go kill themselves. i just wish we could lighten it up a little bit, while simultaneously increasing the awesomeness of our intellect's thread ideas. too bad posts like this get so many trivializing and insulting responses for the quick lulz.

it isn't a matter of manning up, I generally don't feel like anyone here likes me, and as a 30 year old adult, I am finding my free time more valuable and less frequent, and if I am going to spend anymore time talking to people on this website, it has to be because I am wanted to at least some small degree, I am not like quagmire02 in that I can't hang around a place I am universally hated/unwanted. this isn't attention whoring, I am not checking this thread every 5 minutes, I am trying to decide if this is indeed truly a community of good people that I should invest in, because it will positively impact my life, or if I should give up the idea of making new friends via this site...I have met and maintained relationships with the few twwers who are imo good people, I am sure there are a few I haven't had the chance to meet yet that are also awesome, but that isn't likely to change - it seems the only way to meet most of you is to start drinking again, and frequenting shitty college bars to do so.

Hey now, don't leave the soap box out of it. They're just as brutal. I remember someone calling for more civility, and others responding saying that was a ridiculous idea, and that it would never work on a message board full of college kids. To which I had to remind them:
