so ive been promising my dad i would paint his truck for awhile...its an old terminex truck that is bright orange.

im gonna go the rustoleum route. I will post pics on here. He just wants it white so that shouldnt be a problem at all. not sure If i want to add some clear or just leave the high gloss paint. may throw on a clear coat for protection from stuff like gas and whatever to harden it.

thoughts?

agrisupply sells tractor paint for just a little more money but it has a catalyst that makes it dry faster and harder. This time of year it will take forever for sprayed rustoleum to dry.

Unless you plan on using a roller and a brush, in which case I have no advice for you and may god have mercy on your soul.

I'll give you $15 for the bug on the roof.
Hell of a deal.

i agree. $200 and it won't look like a rustoleum paint job.

for 50 bucks I painted my truck (now gray pick up in gallery). Rustoleum painted on with a 4" foam roller. 2 coats on the whole truck, sanded with 150 grit on an electric palm sander between coats.

I wouldn't do it in less than 60 degrees. Thin down to milk like consistency with mineral spirits. Use a super high density foam roller. All this stuff can be found At home depot

holy fucking 4 year old thread

econo is still painting cars start to finish for under 400 bucks, and my 9 year old rustoleum paint job looks like total shit... even after being under a cover for 7 years.
