I wanna take my dog over there and walk around in the snow over there but there's a sign that says its closed. Would it be trespassing (aka, can the cops/park rangers give me citation or aggravation) if I were go in the park anyway?

If you park at the entrance on Reedy Creek I think you'd be fine. I see people parked over there all the time when the park is technically closed.

Yeah I saw some people on Glenwood side as well, even though there were big signs saying "closed".

That's kinda why I wanna get the 411 on the situation.

I'm pretty sure you can be arrested for this.

if you get caught, tell them that your dog escaped here so you went in to find him since it was cold out and you were worried for his safety...you happened to bring a leash that you put on him when you found him, and you were just leaving

yes, you can, technically, be arrested for doing this

you likely will not, however...if anything, you'd probably get a written warning

the dog story is good, though...especially if you're a good actor/liar and can play the part of concerned owner

yeah I can pull that off, but I live in brier creek, so its a long stretch for my dog to make it out to umstead.

Guess I'll wait until the park opens.

Not really. There is a path right at the Angus Barn.

I live near the Ebenezer Church Road entrance (Graylin [sp] Trail) and the last major snow, we walked out there to sled. There were lots of people with their pets and most were out there all day with no issues.

I've had friends get caught riding their bikes at night and they've just been kicked out. Some are repeat offenders.

Shoot, what's with all the bumping?

But this did make me think of something. Isn't there some sort of attraction across from the glenwood entrance? LIke a really old dilapidated building or something? I remember seeing a webpage about it a while ago, and thinking that I wanted to go check it out, but I can't remember what it is now.

I maybe behave a little unusual as one of my relatives just passed away last weekend.
