There have been a excess of remake movies it seems. Re-hashes on tv and on the big screen just show that there isn't much out there that's novel. BSG was the last great scifi series, typically there are at least 2-3 of those rolling along with the usual top end dramas, game shows, and comedies.

There is a brief article about it in the new Entertainment Weekly and it said they do not go to Mars, which is apparently in keeping with the short story.
