They seemed to kinda be into each other actually. Danes' character looked surprised/happy while she was getting back into her car, not a crafty/coniving smile like you'd expect either.

Crafty/conniving is exactly what I took from her smile. *shrug*

I mean they're both spies; I expect each of them to go after the upper hand here.

don't read unless you get your panties in a wad over random tidbits

was stuck in traffic yesterday afternoon leaving BoA Stadium and saw the film crew uptown. they were filming at the prison and courthouse areas but they wouldn't give me any spoilers, only said it was scenes for the season finale.

Why does Morena Baccarin keep insisting she cut her hair (V, Homeland, etc) she looks so much better with longer hair.

i don't think she's the one insisting at all. The short cut for V was necessary for the role. The mid-length style for Homeland is just the growing out stages as a result of V being cancelled. It does fit the role better than it being Firefly long.

Spoiler-ish...

sleeping with the enemy

Does Carrie genuinely like Brody, or is she just a reckless thrill junkie? Or did she do it just to try and get close to him for information? Im thinking a little bit of all three.

I would say its a bit of all of those reasons, she's definitely drawn to him on some level.

yup. i'm kinda aggravated by this new twist. and after seeing scenes from the next episode, it looks like they're taking this even farther.

hopefully some new insight will be revealed soon and make this whole thing a bit more easy to digest.

Banging the terrorist doesn't bother me at all.

Her character has been established as a whatever-it-takes kinda gal.

Who could resist the charms of Dick Winters?

Also I really liked how Brody pulled the crippled dude off Uncle Mike only to start beating the shit out of Mike himself.

yeah but is she even doing it for a reason, or is she just a crazy sex freak? i hope there's some logical reasoning behind it.

Did you miss the part where she had the polygraph dude ask Brody if he was faithful to his wife? It helped her establish that Brody was beating the polygraph rather than telling the truth.

1. She's on anti-crazy pills
2. She's OBSESSED with her job
3. She is willing to do anything for it, ie lying to her prostitute source.
4. She's probably lonely.
5. Maybe she just likes the thrill.

Seriously, I don't see anything wrong or see it as breaking the realism

i thought it was established in the first episode that she liked to slut it up from time to time. couple that with her "whatever it takes" attitude and the crazy pills and it all makes sense.

sure, it helped her figure out that the polygraph was wrong. but i doubt she had sex with the intent of using it as a polygraph question.

i just need to accept that she's a psycho sex deviant and not jack bauer.

i don't see that as psycho sex deviant...

i see that as normal CIA handler behavior actually...whatever it takes to turn an asset. she's just working brody to get another "in" with him since she lost the surveillance.

i don't understand who saul works for - does he work for david or does david work for him or what? i don't get the pecking order here...

he was able to circumvent david and put carrie in the debrief with brody so i thought he was above david

I suspect he works for David, but has so much more experience, that he can outweigh David in his own office.

His reputation is beyond reproach, so he isnt someone you want to go against, even if you manage him.

yeah, he's kind of the elder statesman and probably could have had David's job if he wanted it at any time.

It would work a lot better that way rather then something where they drag it out or rehash the same plot line over and over and over again (ie 24)

They're going to have to reconfigure the show pretty significantly to do a second season, it's still up in the air as to whether they'll do it successfuly. Showtime also has a track record of dragging shows out well beyond their best by date (I'm looking at you Dexter and Weeds).
