More aptly, the team is now built like a team and not the Kovelchoke show. He's an expensive second liner, but that's where he's at. I'm not 100% on our defense, but if the Devils can put the puck in the net then Ol' Gramps Brodeur will do just fine.

I know Asham has already apologized for the things he did after the fight, but given the circumstances, I don't think it was really that bad. As soon as Beagle started to fall, Asham skated off and didn't look back. I'm guessing that if he had turned around and seen that he wasn't moving and was bleeding from the mouth that he probably wouldn't have done it.

and yes... it's the Caps that resort to cheap shot tactics, unlike the Angelic Penguins with their future Lady Byng winner Matt Cooke.

About what happened after the fight, I thought the taunting was bush league... and probably deserved a 2-min unsportsmanlike penalty... but that's about it. It seemed more of a heat of the moment kind of thing.

fantastic argument against a point not made

pens fans can do without his cheap shots because it invites retribution, isn't good for the game, and he's actually a pretty good hockey player when he's not giving headshots.

he's a hilarous guy and a great player, and of course i hope he has terrible performance on the ice because i'm a pens fan, but at some point his story is going to wear out.

someday ovechkin is going to accidentally hit the wrong person and is going to be accidentally be placed on the injured list for a few months. i hope it's not against the penguins, either, because i'm sick of the whole caps/pens media circus.

If you don't want teams taking retributions then Mario shouldn't employ dirty players... The Islanders didn't just randomly target the Penguins last season.

That Goons/Jest game was nuts! It was 6-1 Jets at one point. The Goons roared back and tied it 6-6 and even took the lead 6-7. It seems like the coaches forgot that when you change goalies that you actually have to replace them with another goalie.
