kmyoungs and i have a dog walking service!!!

this is where we will share all of our awesome dog-walking stories:

i'm already covered in dog shit for the day

i love all my doggies, but sometimes they get me dirty really early in the morning! this am one of my dogs had an upset stomach and as he doo-doo'ed on the side of the road he got his ear covered in it and then rubbed his head on my jeans. fun.

shameless plug: starting January 9th, 2012 I am available all days of the week to walk yo doggie! pm for more info!

... or when I was walking a dog that hates other dogs pulled me into the road, followed by me skinning my knees, all over a stupid ass pug puppy that was running loose.

My dog likes to attack leaves when we're on walks. Which in the fall means all the fucking time

I'm Krallum and I approved this message.

[Edited on December 9, 2011 at 11:15 AM. Reason : January 9th is my birthday i want a complementary 'walk']

^most people hire dog walkers because their dogs are out of control and they cannot handle them (or they are too busy).

no worries Youngs, these fools don't know what we deal with.

i challenge anyone to hold their own with two neurotic 90lb labs who are using all their strength to get at a little frou frou dog.

or to handle Miss...

aw! i get to play with Miss all the time now!

You think she'll have a problem walking a 75 year old, obstinate, semi-racist, and almost senile father-in-law?

I'm a sole proprietor and trust kmyoungs and my clients so I don't really need to be bonded as of right now (but we'll see how it goes as I pick up new clients).

I'm also fully insured AND have a business tax ID. Now that I'm switching to doing this fulltime I plan to start reporting in January because as it stands right now, I make very little money (and haven't exceeded my non-taxed limit for my business for 2011) but in Jan, it will be my sole source of income and I'll have to report it anyway.

so booyah

well the tutors that charge $20 and $25 are licensed in the teaching field, so you have to set a lower price to get clients

You should take your business to NYC. I dated a girl there that paid someone $550/month to (daily) walk her 5 lb rat dog.

^yea, I have friends that get $450/month for walking 3 x a week in CA ... it is called a higher cost of living. If I lived in NYC I would still be broke

Not if you do ESL for high paid execs in the RTP area. I was making $40-50/an hour when I was doing that. But the transient nature of the families I worked for made it difficult to earn a real living on those hours.
