I think the best part is that he wants $14k for it. 3/8/2012 4:59:39 PM

^Haha, that's easier with a tractor wheel.
I love monster miatas, and I actually think the BMW Z3's look nice. But if you're spending all that money on a body kit, why not make it look really exotic? Looks clean though.
Also, if someone could bump the craigslist thread, I'd appreciate it. 3/8/2012 7:52:11 PM

Yup, I agree. It's still a Miata regardless of how much junk has been added. 3/9/2012 9:36:38 AM

doesn't it make more sense to just buy the Z3 and put a mustang engine in it if you want to go that route? 3/9/2012 10:03:09 AM

I can think of about a million things that make more sense than putting a Z3 body kit on a Miata with a V8 swap. 3/9/2012 12:18:56 PM

The Z3 kit might have made sense 15 years ago when they were still massively more expensive than Miatas. Now it just seems silly.

No such thing. I assume he means SVT Cobra motor? The SVO was the turbo 4 powered Mustang from the mid 80's 3/9/2012 12:56:54 PM

it could be a 1984 SVO or a 1994 SVT mustang motor
although they didn't specify if it's a 2.3L turbo or a V8
1988 Thunderbird turbo coupes had the same engine/drivetrain as the SVO
and it says Thunderbird rear end
either way, I wouldn't want this crap 3/9/2012 1:59:39 PM

^A good point. I would prefer the turbo unit in its original Turbo Coupe packaging in that case, though. And a strange build gets even stranger if that's actually the explanation. 3/9/2012 8:43:06 PM

The thunderbird rear end is commonly used alongside the 302ci ford v8 in monster miatas, so I think that's what we're looking at here, not a turbo 4. Probably a shit load of fun sans the perplexing body kit. 3/9/2012 11:05:42 PM
