Which is easier between 205 and 211? Is 131 as easy as everyone says? discuss.

Are you trying to do engineering? If you are, take 205 (because it's required). Otherwise, take 131.

I've actually already taken 205, but a friend of mine asked about 211 vs 205 and wasn't sure if it was harder or easier. I looked it up and saw that it was non-calculus based....so I guess it's just a lot of memorization?


Idk...I didn't really know what to tell them about it so I thought I'd ask you guys

^ yea PY 131 is almost a joke, but if it is new material I suppose it is a good way to get the big picture. EASY AS FUCK for anyone decent at math.

211, for people not in engineering .... it's an uphill battle because you are in a class with a lot of engineers who could sleep through the class and get an A. They like to focus on little pieces and ask questions that may go over a nonengineering person's head.

They are, in order of difficulty from easiest to hardest:

PY131
PY211
PY205

205 is designed for engineers, and will be calculus based. 211 is a non calculus based overview of physics. 131 is a joke.
