Since our voting population decided to take a step backwards today, I figured TWW could raise some money to support the LGBT community.

I'll start it out with a $50 donation to the Trevor Project. I'll put in $50 more to another charity if we reach $2500. Maybe other people can do a similar pledge.

This is factually false. One of the biggest problems in the gay community is their inability to save money.

They spend like mad on fashion, decoration, and irrelevant superflous things in order to look like they are living it up.

Also, they usually don't plan on kids and sadly many don't plan on living long lives due to their partying and promiscuity.

Of the gay folks who I know well enough to say that I have a fair grasp on their finances, I'd have to say that more than 1/2 of them are doing well enough to where I'd be perfectly content as whoever their preference may be.

i would rather give my money to filipinos who live in slums outside manila city, and who at night go around collecting garbage from outside restaurants and then salvaging any food scraps inside (customers' eaten food) and repackaging it and selling it to the slum dwellers.

they call it pagpag, and it gives the slum dwellers and their children VITAL nutrition.

Also, you people realize that the thread title is a joke? We are not giving money to gay people. We are giving money to organizations that fight legislation like amendment one and provide support networks for gay people who don't have any, among other things.
