Mike GLennon, #5 in HD's ACC top25
Quote : | ""2011 stats: Glennon threw for 31 touchdowns, the second-highest mark in school history behind Philip Rivers. He started all 13 games, completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 3,054 yards and 12 interceptions.
Previous ranking: Not ranked.
Making the case for Glennon: In his first season as a starter, Glennon quickly emerged from the shadow of Russell Wilson and was one of the ACC’s most productive passers. His improvement each game was measurable, and over the final three games of the season, he threw 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. Glennon is a talented drop-back passer with great size, arm strength and accuracy. He went to the Manning Passing Academy this summer, and should take another step forward this fall. " " |

the safety play was the worst play i've ever seen from a state qb. and we've had some BAD qbs in recent years...

yeah, that really surprised me... I thought he was going to go off based on the first drive or two but after that UT buckled down and shut him down. He still got a fair amount of yardage (even though a ton of it was vs. a defense playing really deep and just keeping them from getting a quick TD), but the INTs just killed him. 9/1/2012 9:01:53 AM |

Rivers and Wilson never looked as bad as Glennon did last night.
Glennon has been overhyped by TOB because TOB bet the farm on Glennon. Glennon is a TOB recruit rather than Amato recruit, and TOB has unduly favored Glennon because of that. 9/1/2012 9:05:52 AM |

the 1st quarter INT and fumble were all on glennon - other than that he played well and pretty much had to chuck it for the last 3 INTS. Don't discount how well the TENN defense played! 9/1/2012 11:25:38 AM |

lets not forgot glennon got lucky as fuck on all 3 of his fumbles.
fumble into the endzone should have been 1 td fumble before our td should have meant no td for us grounding the ball backwards could have easily been td throw in the fact that tn scored on their "fumble" and we really should have lost by 42 points.
these were all rookie mistakes. and who throws ints on outs? daniel evans doesn't even do that. Those are jay davis plays but at least jay davis could hold on to the football long enough to throw his interceptions.
i saw a guy with no pocket presence. we had decent block on some plays but glennon started scrambling as soon as he got the ball to create his own pressure. 9/1/2012 12:45:25 PM |

He's still got a great arm and can make "all the throws"...but he doesn't make the best decisions and definitely doesn't put the ball where "only his guy can catch it."
I don't even think Tennessee really shut him down...those interceptions were all bad throws/decisions. Also, besides Graham, our receivers the last two years have had a tough time getting separation. Russel Wilson might have created a lot of plays, but he had tall, fast WRs to throw to. Spencer, Bowen, and Williams were big targets. They won a lot of jump balls for RW over the years. Glennon is throwing to the fucking lollipop guild. 9/1/2012 1:04:53 PM |

A "unc fan" is trying to tell me that renner is better than Glennon because of his 4 INT yesterday.
Even listed last years stats comparing the two. Renner had 1 more INT in 100< attempts.
He's telling me that doesn't matter just the yards/TDs matter. 9/1/2012 1:59:50 PM |
