To me, Vogel is clearly a psychopath.... She's alluded to small amounts of psychopathy being in all successful people (I think). She gets prickly when asked why she got interested in psychopaths. Perhaps a relatives psychopathy got her into the field, but I feel like that would be set before she had a child. It would be a plot hole, but one that's liveable I guess, as creative license.

Because of this, I'm wondering what her true involvement is with these murders, too. It can't be nothing.

heres my theory: vogel is the brain surgeon, but she isint aware. i think she had some brain surgery in the past that causes a tyler durden type deal. she thinks she is just vogel but she slips out of consciousness and beomes the brain surgeon. it would explain why she started acting scared about the his and hers text message. i know they did this same premise a couple of seasons ago with travis marshall but it makes sense. either that or its deb, who is out to get revenge on dexter for laguerta, or because she has become a psychopath herself.

^i had considered they might try some multiple personality bullshit with Vogel, but I really hope that's not the case.

I'm not sure what it is but Vogel's mannerisms bother the shit out of me. I think she emotes too much with her head/neck and swings it around constantly. Hopefully she hasn't had a stroke or something and I'm being inadvertently insensitive.

It's an interesting theory but it's too close to the Travis season for me to take seriously.

Unfortunately, I see this turning out to be a pretty typical Dexter season other than how the decide to end it.

i find myself caring less and less about this show with each episode. for the final season this isint very exciting; and dexter keeps doing some really fucking stupid things. I find myself caring more about what happens to deb than to dexter.

If this whole thing ends with Dexter getting caught because he didn't just let Hannah leave and have her call him once she got to where she was going I'm gonna be upset. This whole final season will likely only be the conclusion because Dexter keeps doing incredibly stupid things.

still doubting he gets caught. he's going to make it to Argentina with Hannah and Harrison. I wonder if Masuka's daughter will have any more of a role in the storyline or if they're just going to walk away from it where it is.

I've felt all along that masuka's daughter was just them doing something for his character add the series wrapped. Obviously there's the stuff with Dexter and deb. Angel is the Lt now. Quinn was up for sgt., had the stuff with jaime, is possibly gong to be involved with stuff that could lead to Dexter.

I think it was just a way to round masuka out some. He's been a pretty flat character through the series.

haha watch the daughter introduce him to her mom and they hook up.

also, look for Deb to go into the FBI or some higher level law agency.

Yeah I called that Vogel's son Cassies boyfriend shit, but I'm kinda disappointed they revealed it so quickly/easily. I'm not really looking forward to the last 3 episodes that much, I wanted to find out who the brain surgeon was, and now that i know, i just don't really care too much what happens.

yeah that really wasn't very good. Two more weeks for a conclusion.

What are the odds that Dexter gets arrested for harboring a fugitive, aiding and abetting, obstruction, etc. and they never find out he's a serial killer?

I love how Hannah, who is a fugitive with the US Marshalls after her, still feels like its perfectly safe to lounge around outside on the beach watching Deb and Harrison (future sis in law and stepson?!) play in the sand.

And Deb's place might as well be a fucking greenhouse with all the windows up in there. The show seems especially unfocused for being so close to a series conclusion. I wouldn't be surprised to see 15 minutes next episode devoted to Deb and Quinn, and another 10 to Masuka's daughter's emotions.

haha, how unnecessary was the scene with his daughter showing up smelling like weed?

This is the last few hours of a show that has been running for 8 seasons and knows it's the end, and they're devoting time to the random ass daughter out of nowhere showing up to a crime scene high. She does add nice scenery to the show, but if they think they're time for that shit, then there's no question that they're just going through motions.

Likely. Sadly. This is the worst possible outcome... He needs to die, get caught, or ride off into the sunset.

I also thought the dude was going to go slit Hannah's throat and Harrison was going to be drenched. Like Rita. What a cop out.

^^dude, I was like CLOSE DAMN BLINDS YOU MORON.

deb and quinn situation is just there to show that deb isn't in love w/ dexter anymore.

What a shirry episode. Don't you think Hannah would call Deb to take Harrison to the hospital? Maybe try to clean it up and wait for someone else to take him? How about a change of hair color sand a hat?

Why not take her to a hotel in a town outside of Miami and get the room under dexters name and just have her stay inside?

I know this isn't supposed to be realistic but come on, shit is so sloppy.

Damn pampered kid ruined everything. My mom would have put some butterfly bandages on my chin and told me to shut the fuck up and that she'd pop me herself if she ever caught me on the treadmill again.

I hope these last couple episodes are action packed...because this season has been the worst. While I admit the show has gradually gone down hill since the Trinity killer, I don't think it's been as bad as some people make it out to be. But this season lives up to the criticisms. At least we have Hannah's fine ass to look at.

Frankly it will be implausible if Dexter and Hannah don't get caught at this point. This season has been a massive let down. Thankfully, Breaking Bad exists.

Just two episodes left, right?

This next episode will probably be pretty "intense" since it will be the set up for the finale. Then I suspect the first 40 minutes of the finale will be pretty intense, and then......?

I just can't imagine this leaving me "satisfied" with the conclusion. But I'll watch it with an open mind.

HAHA, Riiight. A federal marshall doesn't recognize the current #1 wanted fugitive and releases him..

The writing of this show has gotten horrid.

I think Dexter will end up getting away. I feel like with the way the season has been going and the ability of Dexter to feel and love now would mean killing the character off would be a major let down for fans of the show.

Some good parts to the episode (Dexter and the condo buyer, Dexter appearing human at the 'funeral party') but as was mentioned, what a dumb federal marshall. He was in like 3 episodes and was gullible as shit in all of them.

But since the show is about to end next weekend, I am looking forward to it. This has been a relatively shitty season but I'm definitely curious as to how it all plays out.

Though I will most definitely be watching Breaking Bad 'live' and watching Dexter later

Weak episode, but I did enjoy the tie-ins the previous seasons.

Ready for this show to end, it never quite ever got back to Season 4 quality. Nervous about the rumors I've heard of a spinoff, unless it's just a Californication-esque show about Masuka...I'd watch that.

Worst final season of any show, ever. of all time, in history. The writers aren't even trying. The "fucking Dexter" line was unintentionally hilarious and the best part of the episode.

I was worried that the show would give us the typical happy Hollywood ending, and had prepared myself for the sickeningly sweetness, but that would have been welcome to the pile of shit that we got instead.

All issues of series finale importance aside, this particular episode was just horrible. Even before the last 5 minutes, it was just...bad from top to bottom.

The last few seasons have been pretty poor, going through the motions type stuff, but what in the hell was that? It wasn't even lazy writing, it was the writers trying insanely hard in a 10 minute stretch to not give everyone the happy, perfect ending that they'd led us to think was coming over the full season. Jesus that was awful.
