Does anyone know a site that sells internal drive 14x1.5 tuner lug nuts. I have some new wheels and cannot get them mounted because I can't find a lug that fits. I'd send the wheels back but 20% restock and shipping back to cali...not worth it.

09 G8, I tried narrow spline drive, they don't fit. I'm looking for the smallest possible lug.

I imagine something like this would work. I found these here http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheels/whl_acc.htm site looks too sketchy to spend money.

discount tire told me the internal drive nuts are no good. as you torque/untorque them, they splay out and break... leading to a very bad day

If I can't get inside drive, I don't see how I will ever mount these wheels. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they suggest

Called wheel manufacturer, and discount tire. Discount tire only sells spline drive, due to the lug size needed I'll have to get inside drive lugs to mount these wheels. These will be come my winter wheels

Anyone with a camaro ss want to sell me your 20's? I'll be ready to buy once the ice melts

Inside spline lugs are fine. Just don't use an airgun on them.

I ran them on the previous maxima for 4 years with no problems. (and I beat the shit out of that car as many people here remember)

to the concern about their strength: i had internal drive lug nuts on my 240 for a few years. took them on and off more times than i can possibly count. they were fine. never cracked, stripped, etc. as long as you have plenty of thread engagement and torque them to half-assed close enough specs, you'll be fine.

I went to sears, the mechanic looked at me like I was dumb when I said the spline drive won't fit.

^^ Nothing to laugh at really...He's looking for tuner lugs and they stock them. I bought some there a few years back. Couldn't find them anywhere else locally. Phantasm had plenty and the price was comparable to online retailers even after paying tax.

Well that's because you went to Sears.

To be honest I can get whatever the funk you want. Lug nuts are easy to obtain

Hubcap heaven (or whatever they changed their name too)
Wheels and parts downtown

Any of the tuner shops in Raleigh

Any tire shop that knows what they are talking about.

I didn't mean to walk into Sears. Of course they won't have that crap.

Order it.
