traveling out of the country is a gigantic waste of time and money. I think most people just travel so they can post annoying stories on facebook

a good chunk of my travel (Portugal-Azores, Italy, Greece, Iraq, Qatar, Afghanistan, Germany, Kuwait has been via the USMC, and you don't need a passport for that.

Also, my travel to Mexico, Canada, and maybe Bahamas were before you needed a passport for that.

~25 in current passport, issued at the end of 2011.

It replaced a beat up passport that was packed to the gills and had one set of extra pages added.

For a passport issued in March 2013 (old passport expired), I got a shit-ton!

I've been over the Brunei-Malaysia border at least 6 times in the last 6 weeks. That's 4 stamps each time.

Other than that I got a Brazil Work Visa stamp (never went though), Uruguay, London and Dubai

[Edited on November 12, 2013 at 8:08 AM. Reason : 34 since March and I'll be going to Mexico and Canada by years end]

^Holy shit. 830 places visited?!

When I was in college, I worked as a personal assistant for a Raleigh doctor that had visited 200 countries, and I was really impressed.

there aren't 200 countries in the world, unless he went to places that don't exist anymore like the Soviet Union, East Germany, Prussia, the Ottoman Empire, the Confederate States of America, the Byzantine Empire, etc

Ya, in hindsight he was probably referring to noteworthy places similar to the most-traveled website

A quick Google search for his name and travel says, "over 90 countries."

I know you settled it by saying over 90, but if you count all territories and disputed territories separately, the number goes as high as 230-250. Places like Palestine, Abkhazia, Guam, etc. Most have their own unique entry stamps, different from the country that governs them or the country they are fighting with to split from.

But officially, the number is 195 or 196.

not sure how many stamps but off the top of my head:

China
Ireland
Scotland
England
France
Netherlands
Czech Republic
Spain
Italy
Belgium
Mexico
Jamaica
Puerto Rico
British Virgin Islands (Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Anegada)
US Virgin Islands (St. John, St. Thomas)
St. Martin (Fr.)
St. Maarten (N.A)
Antigua
St. John's
Bermuda
Martinique
Barbados
Curacao
Aruba
Bahamas

I think there are some more islands in there but you kind of lose track after a while. Bermuda is my favorite, though.

5 or 6? However, I'm on my 3rd passport. I think the majority of my stamps are in the second.
