Really, look up the history of Bo and they seem VERY similar in terms of athleticism in football and baseball.

lol at being similar in athleticism

Bo was a once in a generation athlete. Wilson is just a good QB who happens to be a really nice person too.

Yeah, they are both very good at two sports and they both know how to twerk it.

^ You did notice that I said "COULD", right??

But Bo Diddly is the man. He was all I needed to Tecmo Bowl.

He was like a .250 hitter...in college. He wasn't gonna make it in the majors. He picked the right sport.

I hope the first post is just badly worded. There is no comparison whatsoever between Bo and Russ athletically. It's really a gigantic insult to Bo Jackson to compare him to Wilson in that capacity.

Maybe Lebron could get near Bo, but that's a ridiculously elite group of athlete.

Bo Jackson is on a completely different level of athleticism than RW. and that's not a knock on Wilson in any way, shape, or form.

Mike Tyson, Bo Jackson, Usain Bolt and certain others exist(ed) on a level that even most pro athletes can't touch.

^^^Hahaha, you young white kids and your poor insults, what a shame its not even a good one!

Anyway, Bo is the voted the best athlete of all time by ESPN, which in itself means a lot. However, I am not directly comparing Russell to him. I am saying if Russell tried hard enough (Whereas it was clearly a natural gift for Bo) he potentially could be all-star in two sports in the same season. Bo was a serious workhorse that Russell cannot and will not ever be, but he could be in the same catergory. He's still young and has a lot of growth to look forward to.

^^ You can add Jordan to that list

Andrew Brackman might be the next Bo Jackson

RW isn't very good at baseball, by MLB standards. Not sure where this new-found optimism of his skills on the diamond comes from.

RW's ceiling is being a Pro Bowl QB and making an MLB roster

^good analogy...I'm sure you have nice balls, but that comparison is disrespectful to Shaq

To me, bo jackson is the most naturally gifted athlete I've ever seen. Dude didn't even lift weights.

There's no one in professional sports these days that even comes close.

ncwolfpack and I were talking the other day about how the Russell Wilson stories we talk about keep getting more an more exaggerated. By the time we're 50 it'll probably be something like

"RW once pump faked a man out of his shoes 50 yards past the line of scrimmage."

"Russell Wilson scrambled for 150 yds before passing to the corner of the endzone banking it of 3 Carolina players."

I tell you another good one that bowed out of the game early was Barry Sanders. That mofo just quit becasue his heart was truly broken by the game, it was much sadder than Bo's debilitating injury.

Yeah, I am over-exaggerating, but I do love me some Russell!

Then why didn't you say that instead of saying "they seem VERY similar in terms of athleticism"?

Wilson couldn't hit a curve ball to save his life either. No chance to ever make the show imo.

This is no knock on Russell, but he has to work really hard to be good at what he does. Bo Jackson was so talented and athletic that a lot of things came naturally to him.

If y'all haven't seen the 30 for 30 "you don't know bo", you should. It might be my favorite one.

Yo, I watched that like a year ago, and I was so glad that I was fortunate enough to have grown up at the time to see him play in real-time. Also you can watch the ESPN thing where they voted him the #1 athlete of all time.
