Those jerseys made me think of Grundy. Did some searching. From wiki:

ok yeah, if you want to count the 5 games he played in (really, 4 games + 1 minute) before getting injured then he wore the #23. Ced Simmons was #33 that season. The following season, after Simmons bolted, Costner wore #33 and continued to wear it for his last 2 years.

All I'm sayin is I wouldn't put him on the all-time list of great #23s

Dude was kind of a dick when he was at State. Although I probably wouldn't be in a good mood if Adam Harrington deep dicked my future wife.

With that being said...I liked him while he was playing at State and he had some ridiculous range. He was constantly over-matched when playing the point, but he gave it his all. He looks like he's going to be a good coach. I don't want him now because I like what Gott is doing, but maybe he can fill in when Gott leaves after his 2nd natty championship.

This whole thread is a moot point. He will be at a big-time school (Indiana?) very soon and long before we have an opening.

I root for him because he's a State guy, not because I think/want him to be here.

What he has done with that roster this year is nothing short of unbelievable.

Thank you for noticing. Hey Tree if the A10 is so bad, isn't that much more amazing he is 6-1 in the last two NCAATs?

5-1. wish they'd let the Pack play some homes games in the NCAA tourney.

I give Archie props though, he's definitely done a good job. Still don't know why nutcases like you have such a hardon for firing Gott and hiring him though.

None of us "nutcases" have said that at all. We have merely said that Gott wins just enough to keep him around and we are going to miss on our chance to get a stud who is one of us. The future looks great for Archie. I can imagine Indiana would be very enticing to him.

like I said, we'll have plenty of credibility to pull archie away from any school once gott is done making tourney runs.

How many years will Archie need to coach before he returns to NC State and creates a dynasty?

^ That sounds like something UNC fans would say, in regards to the quote. Like how they were wanting to fire Roy at the end of the regular season because they weren't in the top 10, haha.

How do you beat Notre Dame and then lose a home game to Fort Wayne by 20 points? I'm sure their fans aren't happy with the inconsistency.

People* thought Sean Miller was the heir apparent at one point, I think

*maybe just Sean himself

Quote :
"At least part of Sean Miller's Archie/State stance, according to a source, is Sean believes there's a chance he could be UNC's next coach"
