I like SoCal. It was cool living down there in my early 20s, but now I think of it as a nice place to vacation as opposed to actually living there.

I now agree with the OP. My dad told me he is traveling to Jackson Mississippi for a month with his job. Out of curiosity I looked to see if anything really cool is in central Mississippi, but nothing is. It looks like a pretty lame place. I'm guessing his crew will get really bored after work.
