Brand new 60k mile tires put on. A nice radio head unit installed with GPS, traffic, hd radio, bluetooth, xm radio, dvd player, back up camera, USB, AUX port, and alloy wheels. Been a great car, but I need something bigger now. Asking 10750 OBO

NADA clean retail is nearly $11k. I wouldn't sell it to Carmax either.

^Exactly. I'm having a hard time getting the 11k. I've lowered it to $10,200.

^^Why? It's a huge rip off.

i really wanted one of these before settling on the mazda3 hatch...these (and the pontiac vibe, which is the same thing) are great cars

i didn't realize folks still used KBB and NADA, given that their values are random

edumnds TMV puts your car at around $9150 for a private party sale in "clean" (one step below perfect) condition...it's $7900 for dealer trade-in, so carmax's offer was fair

post the KBB and/or NADA value and "settle" for the TMV and you should be able to move it pretty quickly

I really struggled between this and the Mazda 3. Ultimately I went with the Matrix cause I got a better deal.

Tried to look at all three

Edmunds puts the car around $9,994. That said, I did completely misread the value of the car. I have lowered it.

It just doesn't seem right for a car to be listed in the TWW classifieds without an offer of less than half price.

Carmax offered ~$8.6k for my Civic which I sold for $13,250 and I think they offered $11k on the Jeep I sold for $14,250. You can always beat their offer. I suggest spending the $60 or whatever on an Autotrader ad if you haven't already. Craigslist has proven to be worthless for cars over $3k for me.

^Agreed with everything said. However, my autotrader ad isn't bringing in to many leads. That said - since quagmire's post I have adjusted the price and I hope that helps
