So I'm looking for a very specific sub box size range to fit in a spot behind the seat of my truck, utilizing my 12" Kicker CompVR:

- 6-1/2" mounting depth, minimum
- 10" max box depth
- 20" max box width
- ~15" max box height

So far the closest thing I've found is the Atrend 12SQ, but apparently its either discontinued or just an old product (13.5" W & H x 10" D), as no vendor has it listed as in stock.

Short of just building a box has anyone come across an easily searched website or know a few tricks to the search? I've hit the usual spots and tried just perusing around to different links but it appears to be the situation where you're either getting a shallow mount box to fit a 4" or less sub depth, or a 12" deep trunk box.

I read the first half and prepped my link for lowe's MDF to say some assembly required and then read the last paragraph.

Doesn't maxima driver make pretty decent boxes as long as fuel injectors aren't involved?

This work?

^I actually found that one, and sketched it out on my worktable to see how the sub would fit - not deep enough as the magnet base interferes.

I've decided to build my own, just big enough to squeeze out the min 1.0 FT^3 requirement of the sub

I also will not be posting pictures because I don't need undeniable proof that I cant build a square box and cover it with carpet

I build pretty awesome boxes on request, and usually around the same price (or cheaper) than ordering them.

I am in Charlotte though, not that I'm far from Dr Pepper

I have probably built 25+ for twwers.

box is in.... another spot because the intended spot had some interference that I didn't account for (center flip-up jump seat and brackets on back wall of cab)

very satisfied with the box, and the speaker fit well. I'm working on tuning the amp to my music repertoire which is proving interesting. Anyway, since we're talking it's an MTX thunder 152, pushing a 2005-era Kicker CompVR with dual 2-ohm voice coils (wired in series for 4-ohm)

Great job!

Can I reminiscent for a second? I remember mounting a 12" pioneer sub in a bandpass box. I lacked the tools to properly secure the box in the trunk, so I had a network of bungie cords holding the box in place in my trunk. It would have been easily an entry on ThereIFixedIt.com.

I had that same sub above mounted in a different box in my old civic, with a ratchet strap across the top doing the same thing.

Unwisely, I never hard mounted a sub box in 15 years of messing with them. I always assumed a wreck and it would become a projectile that would do serious damage to me.
