The transmitter crystal on my garage door remote popped off the PCB a couple of weeks ago.

I just tested it by putting the crystal into its original spot and the garage remote transmitted (and raised the garage door).

I need someone to preferably come to my place (so I can test right away) and solder literally 2X2 mm connections onto the remote.

Payment: taking bids.

What area do you live in?

I'll potentially do it for a 6 pack of good beer, depending on location.

I'm pretty far away, near Southpoint mall in Durham.

It honestly isnt a terrible idea just to buy a soldering iron, grab some scrap wires and practice for about 10 minutes to get the hang of it. Sounds like it's not a super delicate task and you may just be able to pull it off pretty easily with a little guidance from Youtube.
