I had a strep culture go out on Wednesday or Thursday of last week and my doc prescribed an antibiotic...culture came back negative yesterday and the voicemail they left advised me to stop taking them. Seems like I'm supposed to finish the course so I don't help create drug resistant bacteria, right?

Since you don't have Strep, all you're doing by continuing to take the pills is harming the good bacteria inside of you.

Do people take pro-biotics with antibiotics? My stomach is still messed-up from antibiotics that I took several weeks ago (and i had a very good reason to take the antibiotics).

i always take them sporadically until i feel better then stop. that way i can have leftovers for the next time i get a cold or something.

Stop taking them whenever you want and drink lots of alcohol with them- it fucks you up!

Minus the trolls, make sure the women use a backup form of birth control when taking antibiotics. Some will reduce the effectiveness of the different hormonal methods.
