Slipped on the ice this morning and broke my tibia and fibula.

Have to wear a cast on my driving foot for a month.

At least I won't need surgery!

it didn't get as warm as they forecast (it's 32 degrees at my office in RTP) and it's still misting, i'm a little worried about ice for the evening commute

I was taking my dogs out and slipped on a piece of lumber that was laid down to separate my parking lot from the woods. I don't think that I'll make that mistake again.

Next low on Saturday looking too warm at the moment. Good Miller A storm setup for low, but no cold air, or high pressure, source to north---so likely looking at an all rain event.

HOWEVER, cold air moves in from the west once it departs and we may have a nice setup for a Miller B storm late Sunday through Monday. The upper low appears to nearly cutoff once it crosses NC Monday, so we could possibly see some frozen p-types.

Educate yourself on Miller Type A vs. Type B:

In response to the "it's too warm for winter weather Saturday", I have seen some discussion of a 500mb trough that will cause the models to adjust to the colder side. What does that mean?

20-car pileup from this past weekend in northern Indiana. Had a combination of a freak snowstorm and very high winds making visibility very low.

WRAL says sprinkles Wednesday night.
Weather Channel says 1-3 inches of snow.
WUnderground says 3-5 inches of snow.

The Fish never misses a chance to call for snow, so look for rain.
