Or in other words, is the Fault a Suture?

A suture occurs when the ocean goes away and the shorelines come together. They see no evidence of an ocean from ancient times in that area of Virginia, although geologists believe there should have been one. Instead they think there is a fault line representative of what would otherwise be a suture.

Ok, cool. So how about just calling the article: No Ancient Ocean West of Virginia? An exploration
