I figured I'll share this story here for anyone in the area. Last year while I was living out of state my girlfriend took her car to precision tune for a brake job. She provided her own parts (front/rear rotors and pads). Her rear brakes started squealing last week so this weekend I replaced the pads. One side had pads that looked brand new with no wear and still had the serial numbers on them, the other side had pads that are rusty, no serial numbers and worn down to the wear bar. The calipers function correctly, so the only intelligent conclusion I can draw is they didn't change the pads on that side because it was a woman.....

Someone give me some ideas of things to check before I go over there and rip them a new asshole. Is there anywhere I can send pads for a comparison?

I'll post pictures of the pads later.
