So I am doing a secret santa with other kids in my program and I got a girl I don't know well. I really hate giving super boring gifts though so I was thinking about this, but I want to know if it's too creepy.

I want to find a picture of her and like someone in her family on facebook and print it out and give her a framed copy of it.

Is this too creepy? Cause I think it would be really thoughtful, but I can also see it being as strange and stalkerish.

That's actually hilarious and something I would do to a friend, but this chick would seriously think I was insane.

Last year I got my two friends mugs that said "best coworker ever" and had my face on them. I think to be my friend you have to think that shit is hilarious, or we just won't get along.

^ some people hate or don't eat cheese (for one or more of several possible reasons, including medical conditions), and a big chunk don't eat any cheese other than the usual 3-4 cheeses that are found everywhere. to give a gift like that, you gotta know the person well enough to know if they do eat cheese in the first place, and if so, if they are willing to try gourmet cheeses. as an example, a tin of a selection of herbal teas would be better than cheese for someone you don't know much about.

In actuality, I don't know why you guys thought the baby thing was creepy. I thought it was a thoughtful thing to do for her friend.

to me this would be funny to me.

but it also kinda depends how seriously other people are taking this...if it's all gonna be pretty small, joke-y type gifts then it'd be funny. if people are giving a lotta serious, meaningful gifts then you might look like a jerk for not taking it serious.

^^ That kind of thing needs to be made more clear for this type of activity from the start. Someone should stipulate whether gifts should be serious or gag gifts. Our Dirty Santa party at work is always a fiasco because no one ever sets rules. So a lucky person ends up with a nice bottle of liquor and some expensive chocolates, and the next guy gets a toilet seat.
