You pretty much always take the bowl for the TV money. Though some teams lose money if they can't sell enough of their ticket allotment.

i totally get that we suck and that people will snicker at us and we'll be playing another shitty team with nothing at stake but a trophy for a bowl that will have a different name in 3 years...but, if you're saying "do you want to play a bowl game or not play a bowl game?" then the answer for me is basically always to play the bowl

Just realized our rush D is ranked #5 in the nation...not too bad for a coach people wanted fired last year.

Wasn't the internet raving about sessoms before he got hurt? Granted our starting WRs are pretty locked in with Louis and Harmon (and JaySam in the slot) but we could have used another speed guy.

Top 4 WRs next year with be Ramos, Louis, Harmon, and Hines. Sessoms wasn't going to see the field a ton and is coming off a major injury. We also have CJ Riley that has gotten a lot of buzz and redshirted and Trowell.

I think we'll be good at WR, so like I said, not a huge loss from a production stand-point and opens up a scholarship.

if DD wasn't fired this year, unless '17 is an absolute disaster, he'll be retained next year as well. Yow's impending retirement will only be more of a factor at that point.

Pretty big loss given his recruiting ability, but I'm sure Doeren has some names in mind. I liked the Ledford hire last year, hopefully we'll make a good hire here.
