I'm about to use mine for the first time to flash some speed controllers for my quadcopter. I got a bunch of accessories for christmas including a little oled display, a sensor kit, and a motor controller shield.

I've been wanting to learn more about programming so I think this should be a good start!

I don't, but I bought an Arduino starter kit to go with the C.H.I.P. project I backed on Kickstarter: http://getchip.com/

I have the C.H.I.P. already, and the kit should have arrived today. I don't fux with circuits, so this should be new and interesting. I've been making digital circuits in a simulator/game just to learn a little something and understand why I need to add a resistor before an LED. I mean, I know Ohm's Law, I guess? This will end in tears.

But hey, it should be cool to control an LED with GPIO from a Python script.

Yep, I mess with Arduino.

Here's a thread I started a few years ago that may be helpful:

My goddamn kit didn't come. I wound up starting the new LEGO Millennium Falcon instead, like a goddamn peasant.
