I guess this makes me old. But it's a big meh from me. Television is the only group there that hasn't already come to NC very recently (that I care much at all about) and they're far from relevant these days.

I'd love to see Gun Outfit and Daniel Bachmann as I have albums of theirs and have yet to see them live.

I've also yet to see Beach House and Wye Oak, but they're not exactly hard to see in other venues. My bar for Hopscotch is higher now with a kid and living in Charlotte (and after going last year and not really thinking it was totally worth it).

Looks like I'll be getting a Saturday ticket to see Sylvan Esso, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Vince Staples.

Any other good band on here I should listen to / get a full pass for?

everything I want to see is Saturday (Sylvan Esso, VInce Staples, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise).

I've been digging deep trying to find people to go with. my friends are either: working, "going to Darius Rucker with the kids", "don't know those bands", are out of town/have guests in town, "don't want to pay that kind of money", or "don't really like live shows".

so it looks like I'm going by myself.

anyone else hitting up those shows?

ended up getting VIP this year. this might be my favorite lineup since hopscotch I. wye oak/wolf parade and beach house back to back nights at city plaza makes me extremely happy. also really excited for television, friday night CAM line up (beach slang/car seat headrest - prolly my favorite album of this year), andrew bird, LVL UP, and baroness will be a kickass way to end the fest, and as always, discovering random new stuff in between that i grow to love.

So, I'm only going Saturday this year. Planning on the City Plaza show for Vince Staples and Sylvan Esso. Who else should I see? Haven't listened to Andrew Bird in like a decade.
