We are doing 1 keeper this year, so I wanted to get some opinions on who you would keep. Again, I can only keep one of these:
Julio Jones
Odell Beckham
Gronk
Doug Martin

Who would it be?

Dynasty? Draft position matter (i.e., whichever you keep you lose the pick in the round you got them last year)?

Definitely can throw Martin out. After that, I'd just consider which one has the better QB, so I'd go Gronk. If not comfortable with him, then Julio.

probably gronk because he is far and away the #1 fantasy TE when he's healthy, even without Brady for four games.

that said, julio could damn well get 2000 yards this season.

There is only one Gronk so I would keep him. More options for #1 WR so you can use your 1st pick to grab Julio/Odell or even AB/Hopkins/Green.

4 player keeper league, if you keep a player, they take up rounds 1-4.

I have the first pick in each of the first 4 rounds.

I have: Odell Beckham Jr., Dez Bryant, Andrew Luck

Main decision is do I keep ODB or drop all players and pick Ezekial Elliott with the first pick, since it's dynasty.

I'm thinking keep ODB and Dez, draft with picks 3 and 4, but I lose my chance at Elliott forever.

Depends on how RBs are viewed/scored in your league, but considering how fluid the RB position is in regards to injuries I think having top WRs is probably a priority. ODB def won't make it through the 1st, so it's probably smart to keep him. Elliott is kind of a red flag due to his assault investigation.

so it's not a snake draft?....I think Dez MIGHT be there when you pick again, so it may be worth just dropping him. Besides, there might be a RB there you like more.

Why are you only considering 3 guys to keep? The rest not top 4 rounds worthy?

3 keeper league, no penalty or anything, just any 3 that were previously on your team.

OBJ
Mark Ingram
Jamaal Charles
Ben Roethlisberger
J-Stew
Matt Jones

Probably just the first 3, but I was hoping when I took him last year that Matt Jones would be the guy for the next 4-5 years in Washington, and I probably won't get him back. And Ingram and Charles (and stew for that matter) are old/coming off injury.

I mean, he was pretty good last year as the back-up, now with Morris gone, he should be the starter.

Still not sure I could keep him over the other options though he has solid upside.

RBs are scored normally. It's a snake draft after the first 4 rounds.Dez would normally be there, but keep in mind in a keeper the first few rounds worth are kept already, so Dez might be the #1 remaining player if I drop him. If another team drops everyone, they can grab Dez after my ODB first pick.

I have Elliott as my #1 RB off the board in keeper.

Got some keeper choices..

Get to pick 3, standard league w/ PPR.

Because of last year I get to keep Newton with my 7th pick, and CJ Anderson with my 11th pick. Pretty happy with both of those, Anderson was a holdover from the year before.

Then I get to keep 1 more:

Leaning toward Willie Snead with my 10th pick. Other options would be TY Hinton with my first pick, D. Walker with my 6th pick, Fitzgerald with my 4th pick, Fitzpatrick with my 10th pick, Ajayi with my 10th pick, Draughn with my 10th pick, Bills with my 8th pick. Those are my options for my 3rd keeper. FA pickups during season become 10th round picks the following year if kept, all other players move up 2 rounds if kept.

I'd keep Snead. Walker is tempting but I think you could probably get him later.

Who would you guys keep from this list. I can keep 2 people (or none). The draft pick I would give up is listed next to them:

Bortles, Blake 12
Rivers, Philip 9
Ingram, Mark 4
Murray, Latavius 7
Woodhead, Danny 10
Austin, Tavon RAM 10
Benjamin, Travis 10
Diggs, Stefon 10
Fitzgerald, Larry 10
Thomas, Demaryius 1
Olsen, Greg 3
Walker, Delanie 8

You bumped your question after 2 hours?

^^^I'd keep Ajayi with my 10th. Foster could go down and he'd be a lead back.

Bortles, Blake 30
Ingram, Mark 14
Murray, Latavius 15
Woodhead, Danny 10
Fitzgerald, Larry 39
Walker, Delanie 21

As for ^^, I looked at ADP versus the middle of the round you listed, and here are how many spots ahead of ADP you are gaining with each pick. It actually matches what I was going to say, which is Fitzgerald for sure, and Bortles, Walker, or Ingram after that. I don't carry 2 QBs and if you take Bortles then you are streaming QB most of the year, and I wouldn't do that unless the draft dictates that. I'd go Fitz/Walker and stock up on Wr/RB and then a top 12 QB.

Interesting, I wasn't really expecting Fitz to have another year like he did last year, especially at age 32. I was thinking about Murray more than Ingram.

I wouldn't call his performance last year "pretty good". He was actually pretty awful when he was in the game on early downs and trying to run between the tackles. He had a few big plays, but they were mostly in the passing game. Also, he fumbles.

According to ESPN, he averaged 2.5 YPC against base defenses last year (worst in the NFL) and 3.4 YPC total (again, worst).

Matt Jones is a bottom end RB2 because he's gonna get the carries in Washington, they don't really have anyone else. There are 25+ RBs I'd rather have than him, though.

I'd go Murray & Woodhead if PPR. Maybe swap out Woodhead for Ingram if standard. Bortles at 12 is also intriguing.

^ Definitely Ingram for a 4th round pick. He is consensus top 10 RB this year. I dont see much else on that list worth keeping. Maybe Diggs @ 10.

I'm in a standard $200 auction 12 team league with 2 keepers...

I'm definitely retaining Le'Veon Bell for $25, but I'm debating between the following:

$10 Kelvin Benjamin
$3 Matt Jones
$5 Deangelo Williams

Still odd to me that so many top 10 picks from last year are now going 2nd round or later for various reasons.

Seeing Zeke go before Leveon and Jamaal is still odd.

You're getting 2 starting RBs in rounds 4 & 7. Now you can potentially use the first 3 to load up on the best WRs avaliable (or Gronk if he isn't kept). PLus, Ingram is improving in the pass catching department, so that makes him a bit more valuable.

i draft 10th in a 10 team league...0.5 PPR. a lot will depend on who falls, which can be difficult to predict obviously. but with my back to back picks (10 and 11) and thinking of the likely WRs available, i'd probably go AJ Green with one of those. and then i could double up on WRs with, say, Dez Bryant. but i think i'm leaning toward a RB with my other pick. looks like i'd be choosing between lamar miller, jamaal charles, maybe zeke elliott, and i guess if bell's suspension is reduced to two games you could throw him in the mix too. who do y'all like at RB out of those guys? i'm kinda leaning toward jamaal charles out of that group. but i'm also not married to the idea of a RB there either, i'm just basing this on what i view as being the most likely scenario in my league.

Sammie Coates or Markus Wheaton

Are either of these guys worth a roster spot in a 12 team league? I've heard a lot of chatter about Coates but he's looked terrible in preseason.

Does anyone have any general advice for draft strategy (PPR league, 14 teams, limited bench)? This is my 9th season and I've never won - not sure if it's just the luck of the draw or bad strategy.

Generally I try to:
- Keep an eye on bye weeks
- Draft guys that are are on decent teams + are the star of that team's offense when at all possible
- Draft guys in positions that match the team's overall strategy
- Draft WRs from teams with 1-2 good options at that position
- Draft RBs from teams that aren't going to get so far behind due to defense they switch to pass only in second half
- Don't draft too many guys from the same team
- I tend to go later on QB since I think there's plenty of serviceable QBs but not many solid RB1s (end up with Rivers a lot)
- I usually avoid rookies
- Somewhat avoid star players on new teams

Anything wrong or anything else to look out for specifically?

So #1, answer the question above before asking another

# 2, I always try to draft the best player available regardless of position in the first 3-4 rounds.

#3 I try to stay away from good players on bad teams with only a few exceptions.

#4 This year's draft is deep in QB talent. Don't take one until the 4th round or later unless you get a shot at Cam or Rodgers early on.

#5 Rookie RBs are ok on the right teams/systems (Elliot and Henry are good examples), rookie WRs are much more of a gamble.

Let's talk about Sleepers for a min, who's your top 10?

no idea about a top 10 but Romo might get some good value in a lot of leagues.

a guy in my league just took a kicker and defense with back to back picks 4th and 5th lol

i'll ask again before my draft tomorrow...any thoughts on what y'all would do at the #10 and #11 spot in 10 team 0.5 PPR?

doing a little guess work on who'll be available, i'll probably be deciding between:

AJ Green, Lamar Miller, Zeke Elliott, Jamaal Charles, and possibly Gronk...although, i'm thinking he'll go 8 or 9, since i know the guys drafting there pretty well.

i'm pretty well sold on AJ Green as one of those picks, i expect him to be there. on the outside chance Gronk is available, i'd take him as well. but in the likely event he is gone, i'm leaning Lamar Miller, but also not completely sold on him. so basically...sell me on Lamar Miller, or Jamaal Charles, or Zeke Elliott.

^^more late value:

Cousins, Dalton, Sproles, Packers D went really late considering their SOS, Sanu, Forsett. I think in the earlier rounds Forte may have lot of value.

^I really think the RBs in this draft are weak - seems like a big/uncertain dropoff so I'd go RB if you're that late.

My first draft of the year (12 team 0.5 ppr league) picked #11 overall:

QB: Philip Rivers
RB: Lamar Miller
RB: Jeremy Langford
WR: Jordy Nelson
WR: Amari Cooper
TE: Coby Fleener
Flex: Jarvis Landry
DEF: Cincinnati
K: no kicker yet, because fuck kickers until games start

Bench:
James White
Sterling Shepard
Justin Forsett
Jerick McKinnon
Mohamed Sanu
Tajae Sharpe

Pretty satisfied with my team overall, though RBs might be weak after the starters. Team has tons of potential IMO, but there's definitely risk.

lol ok guys. Sure Baltimore's RB situation is muddied, but Forsett is the listed starter. White should be a decent flier in PPR with Dion Lewis out & McKinnon's solid if AP gets hurt/breaks down.

I ended up keeping Julio over ODB and Gronk. Thought I still might be able to get Gronk with the 8th pick (we don't lose a pick for keeping a player), but Gronk went 6th. Ended up with this team:

Luck
Mark Ingram
C Hyde
Julio
Deandre Hopkins
Dwayne Allen
D Moncreif
Patriots D
Duke Johnson
Tyler Lockett
TJ Yeldon
Charles Sims
Jimmy Graham

Devonta Freeman
Sammy Watkins
Golden Tate
Zach Ertz
DeVante Parker
Packers D/ST
Justin Tucker
Thomas Rawls
Jeremy Langford
Giovani Bernard
Kevin White
Devin Funchess
Corey Coleman
Chris Hogan

That's my team. Drafted 10th in a 10 team league. I'm OK with it. Was targeting Cousins for my QB, but he went as a backup 2 picks before I was going to take him
